     Elisabeth Gerritsen was born circa 1688.1 She (1) married Nathaniel Brittain, son of Nathaniel Brittain and Anne Stillwell, before 1714 at Staten Island, NY.2,1 Elisabeth Gerritsen (2) married Abraham Brouwer, son of Adam Brouwer and Magdalena Jacobs Verdon, on 1 September 1732 (NOTE: This is probably the date when they made their premarital agreement (See Brouwer Web). It is strange, however that they would not marry until 4 1/2 yrs later (16 Apr 1737) as Brouwer Berchoven states.)3,4,5
