     Roeloff C Van Houten was born on 25 June 1618 at Houten, The Netherlands.^2,3 He married Gerritje Cornelise Van Ness, daughter of Cornelis Hendrickse Van Ness and Mayken Hendrickse Van den Burch, circa 1643 at Rensselaerwyck (Albany), NY.^4,3,5 Roeloff C Van Houten died on 14 June 1672 at Bergen, NJ.^4,6,7 He was buried on 16 June 1672 in Bergen.^4,8

     Roeloff C Van Houten and Crijn Van Houten immigrated in 1637 aboard the ship Renselaerswyck. They left Texel on 8 Oct. 1636 and arrived at New Amsterdam on 4 Mar 1637.³ Roeloff C Van Houten lived in 1641 at Rensselaerwyck (Albany), NY.⁷ He was in 1648 a soldier in the Dutch army. at New Amsterdam.⁷
     NOTE: Roelof's birthdate is mostly listed as 25 Jun 1628, but this seems awfully late: he would have 15 at marriage, and 9 when he came to America. Also, he (and three siblings) was mentioned in his grandfather's will in 1625 (see Bergen Family File).      Dina Van Huysen was baptized on 22 January 1679 at New York City (DRC.)¹ She married Marinus Roelofs Van Vleckeren on 19 May 1702 at New York City (DRC) (Marinus Roelofz and Dina Theunisze; not listed in olivetree.)^3,4

     Teuntje Tunis Van Huysen was from N. Uytrecht when she married.^4,5 She married Harmanus Van Gelder, son of Johannes Van Gelder and Tanneke Montenac, on 9 January 1689 at New York City (DRC.)^6,7,4,3,8 (Banns on 21 December 1688. He was Hermanus Van Gelder, jm from N. Yorck; she Teuntje Teunis, jd from N. Uytrecht, both liv. here.)⁴

     Annaetje Van Eydestein was born on 8 May 1763.¹ She was baptized on 29 May 1763 at Acquackanonck, NJ, (DRC) sp. Johannes Nix, Rachel van Eydestein.¹

     Charity Van Iderstine married ? Phillips.¹ She died after 20 January 1875.¹

     George Van Eydestyn (1) married an unknown woman.¹ He (2) married Geesje Vreeland, daughter of Michael E Vreeland and Jannetje Van Winkle, on 28 May 1787.¹

     Johanna Van Idersteyn married Johannes Spier, son of Barent Hendrickse Spier and Catalyntie Hafte, in 1737 at Acquackanonck, NJ, (DRC) (prob. banns only, as she died as a bride.)^2,1 Johanna Van Idersteyn died in 1737.¹

     The 1850 census lists John Van Iderstine and Ellen at Lodi Township, Bergen County, NJ, with, all Van Iderstine, all b. NJ: Michael (25, mason), Maria (21), Peter (14), John (10), Henry (8), Ellen (5), and Catherine (4). John P is 49, b. NJ. farmer; Ellen is 40, b. NJ.¹

     Margaret Van Iderstene was born on 4 January 1833.¹ She married Wilhelmus Hasbrouck, son of Augustus Hasbrouck and Jane Van Winkle Elting, on 26 December 1855.¹ Margaret Van Iderstene died on 5 December 1893.¹
