The 1876 Palisade Twp map has a Jno. J. Brown and a ? B. Brown in north of Cresskill, as well as a Mrs. S. Jackson (south of Cresskill), and a Thomas Jackson (right on the border with Tenafly). Thomas is also in Plate 025-Alpine in 1912.
A Samuel Jackson, 77, died Jul 1890 in Englewood. This could be the Samuel Jackson, who is in Hackensack in 1850: Samuel (35), Betsy (32), and 3 children; and 1860: Samuel (46), Betsy (38), and 5 children. He seems to be in Englewood in 1885: Samuel, with wife Betsy, both over 60; and children Louisa, Phebe (both 20-60), and Arthur (5-20), However, it is unclear how and if he fits into these families.3,4,5,6

The 1840 census lists a William and a Thomas Jackson next door to each other in Hackensack, Bergen County, NJ. Address seems to be Hackensack Town+??. Household of both consist of one male and one female under 10, and one male and one female 24-35. This makes sense for William, but not for Thomas. However a few lines below is another Thomas Jackson (next to John Jeffrey, just as in 1850). Household consists of 2 males and 2 females under 10, 1 female 10-24, 1 male and 1 female 24-35, and 1 female 55-100.
There are two other Jacksons on this page (pg. 129, image 35) as well
On pg 121, image 19 there is another Thomas Jackson (household 2 males and 2 females under 10, 1 male and 1 female 24-35.)2,3 The 1850 census lists William Jackson and Maria at house 308 at Hackensack, Bergen County, NJ, with Dinah, Thomas and Samuel (resp. 15, 12, and 7), They are next door to Samuel Thompson and Thomas J Jackson.1
William Jackson was a boatman in 1850, and a quarryman in 1860.1,4 The 1860 census lists William Jackson and Maria at house 222 at Hackensack Township, NJ, with Thomas and Samuel (resp. 22 and 17). Dinah possibly married Samuel Ray (he is 25, she is 22). In addition there are a number of Thompsons (among them a Samuel (35), a Nick Jackson (38), a Henry Jackson (18), and eight Thompson children between 16 (Mary) and 9m (Mortimer). One is John Ray Thompson (5), making a relation with Samuel Ray likely.5
William Jackson and Maria his wife, Sarah Brown and her husband Pompey Brown, Dina and her husband Samuel Ray, James Brown, Eletta and her husband Samuel Jackson, Maria Brown, Charles Brown, Thomas Brown, Kate Brown, and William Brown, Sucke Charleston, Samuel Brown, Samuel T. Jackson, Elizabeth Jackson, Nicholas Jackson, Sarah Jackson, Phebe Jackson, and Flora Jackson, of the township of Hackensack sell property to William Laimbeer of the township of Hackensack (K6-509, 26 Jul 1866, Bergen NJ.)
