     Nicholas Brouwer made a will on 17 September 1777. with codicil dated 21 Sep 1777, rec'd 17 Jun 1778, Surrogate's Court, Albany. Mentions wife Sarah; eldest son Nicholas, son David (Daniel?), Jeremiah, and Jacob; five daughters: Jane, wife of William Conklin, Mary, Sarah, Lena, and Catharine; and (separately) daughter Elizabeth.^5,6
     Nicklaes Brouwer's father Benjamin (b. 1747) was linked to Nicholas Brouwer (b. 1714). No other source has a son Benjamin for that Nicolas, and the age difference between Benjamin and his son Nicholas would be rather large. He could be a son of Nicholas Brouwer's son Nicholas (although the birthdate is then in error). Nicholas Brouwer was listed here as married to Mary Burchen (which could easily be a bastardazation of Birdsall, which is her name in the Brouwer Genealogy online. However, Benjamin Birdsall Brower's son Nicolas is b. in 1809, not in 1816. BC-Families Brouwer File has no dates for any of the children, of Nicholas and Mary Birdsall.^7,6
     Both Nicholas Brouwer (son of Adolph, b. 1714) and Nicolaes Brouwer (son of Nicholas, b. 1707) were listed as married to Mary Dutcher or Duytser in Fishkill, NY in 18 Jun 1743. The Brouwer website (a well-sourced article) states that nothing further is known of Nicholas (b. 1707.)^8,3

No other source has a son Benjamin for that Nicolas, and the age difference between Benjamin and his son Nicholas would be rather large. He could be a son of Nicholas Brouwer's son Nicholas (although the birthdate is then in error). Nicholas Brouwer was listed here as married to Mary Burchen (which could easily be a bastardazation of Birdsall, which is her name in the Brouwer Genealogy online. Executors: my brother-in-law William Woynants, and my cousin Everardus Brower, hatter. Witnesses: Luke Jno. Kierstead, Charles Phillips, yeoman; and Charles Morse. On 22 Feb 1788 the Court appointed Peter Ustick, merchant of New York, to administer the estate, bacause William Woynants has died, and Everardus Brower, the other executor, has refused to serve.^13,14 Name variation: Pieter Brouwer.^2,15,5
