     Dirck Wannamaker was baptized on 26 February 1741 at Paramus, NJ, (DRC) (sponsors: Marytje and Anneke Wannemaker; father Coenraad Wanamaker, mother listed in the transcription as Diederik, but it seems likely that the father is Coenraad Diederik.)4,5) He married Antjen Banta, daughter of Cornelius Banta and Rachel Banta, on 19 April 1765 at Schraalenburgh, NJ, (DRC) (Dirk Wanemaeker, ym and Antje Banta, yd.)1,6,7 Dirck Wannamaker died on 23 October 1814 aged 73.3.11.8 He and Antjen Banta were buried in Airmont Lutheran Church in Suffern (Ramapo.)8

     On 7 Dec 1832 Polly (Wanamaker), wife of Casparus Barbaro filed a petition in New City, Rockland County, NY: Derrick Wanamaker died about sixteen or seventeen years ago at Hamsptead, now Ramapo, leaving as heirs: son Cornelius Wanamaker; daughter Rachel, widow of William Bush; daughter Polly, wife of Casparus Barbaro; daughter Peggy, wife of Jacob Straut.2 Name variation: Diederik C Wanamaker.2,5 Name variation: William Wanamaker.13

     Drew Wanamaker was in Company F, 5th NY during the Civil War.1 In the same plot are buried an unknown person (1840-Oct 1862), and Drew Wanamaker (1856-1907). David is prob. the son of Giles Wanamaker and Hester Adriance, but BC-Families does not have a death date. Neither Drew is in the BC-Families file.6,2,4,5

Rockland), Julia Johnson (24, b. NY), Edgar (5, b. NY), Melinda (4, b. NY), and Elmira (1, b. NY.)7,8 She made a will on 5 March 1857. It was filed in New City, Rockland County (Bk G p.524), and proved 21 Feb 1859. She names sons John and Cornelius; daughter Ann, wife of Conrad May; and Rachel, wife of James Carlough.
