According to the FGS of Claes Backer (Jansen is crossed out) Claes Backer is bapt. 8 Jun 1648 in NYC, which would make him 22, when he married (2) in 1670. Not impossible, but one might expect to find the first marriage in NYC as well, but it is not found in the 4 years previous. Marritie is a widow as well (she was married to Frans before 21 May 1661, when she appeared as Maryken Gerrits, wife of Frans Janse van Hoogte, carpenter); at the baptism of Saertie in 1676 a Hertman Wesselszen is one of the sponsors. Nicholas Jansen Backer is sponsor at the baptism of Anna Wessels, daughter of Warnert Wessels & (1) Debora Pieters Beeck.
