Hermans; child's name obliterated.)^3,4 He (1) married Annetje Sip, daughter of Jan Adrianse Sip and Joanna Van Vorst, on 28 October 1713 at New York City (DRC) (met attest. from Akkinsak & Bergen gedaseert; he is Gerrit Hermanisse Van Wageninge, jm; she Annatje Sip, jd from Bergen.)² (Banns on 3 October 1713 at DRC, Bergen, NJ. He is Gerrit Harmanse Van Wageningen, ym, b. and liv. at Achquechnonk; she Antje Sip, b. and liv. at Bergen. HSYB has date as 30 Oct 1713, but listed in 1715; there is no listing for 1713.)^1,5,6,7 Gerrit Van Wagoner (2) married Sarah.⁸ He died before 1 August 1770.⁸

     Gerrit Van Wagoner made a will on 17 July 1769. It was proved 1 Aug 1770. He was Gerrit Van Wagennig, of Achquechnonk, Essex Co.. Names wife Sarah; sons Hermanis and John; daughters Annatje, Helena and Catrina; children of my daughter Jennike, dec'd. Executors: son Hermanis and son-in-law Joris E. Vreland. Witnesses: David Marinus, George Thompson, Archbald Thompson.⁸

     Gerrit Van Wagoner was born on 7 October 1710.^1,3,4 He was baptized on 9 October 1710 at Bergen, NJ, (DRC) (sponsors: Cornelis Van Vorst and his wife; father Johannes Gerretsen van Wagenin, mother Catelyntie Helmigs.)^4,3 He died on 21 August 1738.¹

     Gerrit Gerritsen Van Wagoner was born at Wageningen, Gelderland, The Netherlands.² He married Annatje Hermanse.² Gerrit Gerritsen Van Wagoner was buried on 6 April 1703 in the DRC, at Bergen as "Gerrit Gerritsen, widower of Annatje Hermans."^3,4,5

     Gerrit Gerritsen, from Wageningen with wife and child (2y old) left Holland in Nov 1660 on the "Faith," and reached New Netherland on 23 Dec 1660. They settled in Communipaw (now Jersey City). As both Gerrit, Jr., and Catherine were from Wageningen at their marriage, the infant is apparently not counted in the passenger list, and is unclear, who is the eldest child.^1,6,7
     Konight has two more possible children:
1. Elizabeth: m. Dirck Barentsen Van Hoorn on 11 Apr 1704 (Bergen #152); Dirck Barentse and wife Elisabeth are sponsors for two grandchildren of Gerrit Gerritsen Van Wagoner in 1718 and 1722
2. Evert: m. 1701 NYDC (p.94) Maritje Van Heyningen, but that is Evert Gerritsz, son of Gerrit Aertse Van Wagonen and Claertje Pels.^8,9,10
     NOTE: There seems to be quite a bit of confusion about the death dates. BC-Families has Gerrit Jr. date as 1703, but then also states that he and his wife convey land in 1719. The Bergen DRC Burials (HSYB) has the 1703 burial as Gerrit Gerritsen, widower of Annetje Hermans, so that is clearly the father. Gerrit was prob. buried in 1732 as Gerrit Gerritsen Van Waagening, but BC-Families assigns that date to his wife.^10,11

     Is Gerrit Gerritsen Van Wagoner a son of Gerrit and brother of Jannekin Gerrits, Geurt Gerritsen and Geesje Gerritse? Gerrit is from Wageningen, the others from Zutphen, but are also called Van Wagenen; but Gerrit is not mentioned in Geurt's will. Name variation: Gerrit Gerritsen.¹²

     Helena Van Wagoner was born on 22 April 1747.^1,2 She married David Demarest, son of Arie Demarest and Marritje Ackerman.^3,4 Helena Van Wagoner died on 16 July 1830.²

     Helena Van Wagoner and David had a son David, bp. 5 Jun 1768.⁵ Name variation: Lena Van Wagenen.² Married name: Demarest.

     Isaac Van Wagoner was born on 14 August 1703.¹ He was baptized on 22 August 1703 at Kingston, NY, (DRC.)^3,4 He married Cathrina Freer, daughter of Hugo Freer and Mary Anne LeRoy, on 1 March 1723 at Kingston, NY, (DRC.)^1,5,6

     Name variation: Isaac Van Wagenen.⁵

     Jacob Van Wagoner was born on 6 February 1782.¹ He was baptized on 24 March 1782 at Schraalenburgh, NJ.² He married Eleanor Cooper, daughter of Richard Cooper Jr. and Ann Ferdon, in 1806.^3,1 Jacob Van Wagoner died on 6 March 1836.¹

     Jacob Van Wagoner was born on 12 March 1717.^1,3 He married Jannetje Van Houten, daughter of Roelof Helmigse Van Houten and Fytje Sickels, on 17 October 1742 at Bergen, NJ.^1,3 Jacob Van Wagoner was buried in Dumont.¹ He died on 12 January 1812.^1,3

     Jacob Thomson Van Wagoner was born on 3 October 1829 at New Jersey.¹ He married Louisa Bloomer.¹ Jacob Thomson Van Wagoner died after 1900.¹

     Jane Van Wagoner was born in 1771.² She married Johannes Vreeland, son of Jacob Elias Vreeland and Antje Post, on 23 February 1792 at Acquackanonck, NJ.¹ Jane Van Wagoner died in 1802.²

     Jenneke Van Wagoner was born on 12 September 1725.^1,3 She was baptized at Acquackanonck, NJ, (DRC) (sp. Idde Sip and Antje Van Wageningen.)³ She died before 1769.⁴

     She married and had children, who are mentioned in her father's will.⁴

     Johannis Van Wagoner was born on 18 November 1728.^1,3 He was baptized on 24 November 1728 at Acquackanonck, NJ, (DRC) (sp. Michiel Van Winkel and Geertruy Van Winkel.)³ He died between 1770 and 1771 (Konight has no source.)²

     Johannis Van Wagonen married Neesje Van Wagonen, daughter of Jacob Van Wagenen and Lea Van Ripen, on 8 November 1750.¹ Johannis Van Wagonen died on 29 March 1797.¹

     NOTE: Van Wagoner File had Johannis as a son of Helmich Van Wagenen and Maritje Brinkerhoff, but he would have been no more than 13 yrs old, as Helmigh married in 1736. Bergen County Families has Johannis as the son of Johannes Gerrits and Catalyntje Helmichse van Houten, which make more sense, also because Johannis has a daughter Catlyntje, but no daughter Maria
     However, Helmigh does have a son Johannes, who is mentioned in Helmigh's father's will.^1,4 Name variation: Johannis Helmickse Van Wagenen.¹ Name variation: John Van Wagoner.¹

     John Van Wagoner was born on 12 January 1792.² He was baptized on 5 February 1792 at Schraalenburgh, NJ.² He married Mary Cooper, daughter of Richard Cooper Jr. and Ann Ferdon.¹

     John Van Wagoner was born on 8 September 1753.¹ He was baptized on 30 September 1753 at Schraalenburgh, NJ.² He married Margrietje Demarest, daughter of David Demarest and Margrietje Haring.^1,3 John Van Wagoner died on 8 October 1828.^1,2

     Margaret Van Wagoner was born on 16 May 1810.¹ She married John Demarest, son of David Demarest and Catharine De Baun, on 11 October 1828.¹ Margaret Van Wagoner died on 3 May 1877.¹

     The 1850 census lists John D Demarest and Margaret at Hackensack Township, Bergen County, NJ, with, all b. NJ, Catherine (20), and on the next page: Jacob (19, miller), Maria (16), Ellen Ann (13), and Rachel (10); and Nicholas Thompson (17, b. NJ, B. laborer). John D. and Margaret are both 40, b. NJ.² Married name: Demarest.

     Margrietje Van Wagoner was born on 8 February 1789.¹ She was baptized on 7 March 1789.¹ She married John G Demarest.¹

     Maria Van Wagoner was born on 14 November 1796.¹ She married Samuel Bevier, son of Simon Bevier and Elizabeth Cantine, on 10 September 1820.¹ Maria Van Wagoner died on 5 October 1828.¹

     Neesje Van Wagonen was born on 2 September 1724.¹ She married Johannis Van Wagonen, son of Johannes Gerrits and Catlyntje Helmigse Van Houten, on 8 November 1750.¹ Neesje Van Wagonen died on 24 May 1810 or 1811.^1,2

     NOTE: Bergen County Families has Neesje as daughter of Gerrit Gerrits Jr. and Niesje Pietersen Merselis, but does not have a daughter Niesje or Nieltje in the family; his children are also born much earlier than Neesje. There is one other Neesje, b. 1728, daughter of Gerrit and Marritje Gerbrands, but in view of the children's names, her parents are most likely Jacob and Lea.^3,4 Married name: Van Wagonen.

     Peter Van Wagoner was born on 23 November 1796.¹ He married Elizabeth.² Peter Van Wagoner died on 11 August 1844.¹ He was buried in Undercliff Cemetery in Englewood Cliffs.¹

     Rebecca Van Wagonen was baptized on 25 December 1752 at Kingston, NY, (DRC.)^1,3 She married Johannes Van Wagenen on 11 September 1773.¹
