     Is Gerrit Gerritsen Van Wagoner a son of Gerrit and brother of Jannekin Gerrits, Geurt Gerritsen and Geesje Gerritse? Gerrit is from Wageningen, the others from Zutphen, but are also called Van Wagenen; but Gerrit is not mentioned in Geurt's will. Name variation: Gerrit Janse Van Steenwyk.¹

Newyork, parents are b. NY.³ The 1905 census lists Chris Rohn and Gertrude at Hackensack, NJ, with eight children, all b. NJ: John (26, b. Apr 1872?, bartender), Belinda (22, b. Aug 1882, silkwinder), Richard (19, b. Nov 1885, painter), Peter (16, b. Sep 1889, plumber), Jennie (16, b. Oct 1889, ? hand), Louis (13, b. Aug 1891), and on the next page Gertrude (Oct 1897) and Bessie (Apr 1900). Christopher (b. Jan 1850) is a mason, his parents were b. Germany; Gertrude (b. Apr 1860, parents b. Holland.)² The 1910 census lists Christopher Rohr and Gertrude at Little Ferry (Lodi Township), NJ, with six children, all b. NJ: Richard (24, house painter), Peter (21, laborer, odd jobs), Jennie (20, marr. 1 yr, no children, servant in private family), Louis (18), and on the next page Gertrude (12) and Bessie (10). Christopher is a mason, his parents were b. Germany; they were married 35 years, Gertrude had 13 children, 9 living, her parents were b. Holland.¹ The 1915 census lists Gertrude Rohr at Overpeck Twp (Ridgefield Park), Bergen County, NJ, with six children, all b. NJ: John (38, b. Apr 1877, widowed, engineer), Richard (31, b. Nov 1885, painter), Peter (26, b. Sep 1888, plumber), an unknown person (23, b. Nov 1891, laborer), Gertrude (17, b. Oct 1897, brushmaker) and Thressa (15, Apr 1900). Gertrude (56, b.      Gertrude's last name is indexed many different ways: Henches (in John's death certificate in 1920, he is John C. Roher), Halos (in Gertrude's birth cert in 1897), Hanches (birth of a girl in 1880), Hemski (birth of a boy in Jan 1891 (or 2)

     The 1910 census lists Anthony Stanish and Ellen at 10 J Street (ED 144) at Antrim Village, Duncan Township, Tioga County, PA, with their children Alice and Mary.³ The 1920 census lists Anthony Stanish and Ellen at 12 B Street (ED 146) at Duncan Township, Tioga County, PA, with their children Celia, Mary, Joseph, Ann, Paul, Anthony, William, Walter and Theodore; and his mother Mary Stanish (71, wd, b. Lithuania, imm. 1905, still an alien.)⁴ The 1930 census lists Anthony Stanish and Helen at 31 John Hay Ave (ED 309) at Kearny, Hudson County, NJ, with their children Joseph, Ann, Paul, Anthony, Walter, William and Theodore.¹ Name variation: Ellen.⁴ Married name: Stanish.      Hendrika was born circa 1873.¹ She married Aaron Driesse, son of Jan Driesse and Gertrude Wielhouwer.²

     Hendrika and Aaron Driesse immigrated in 1905 to USA.² Hendrika and Aaron had nine children (the first 3 or 4 prob. b. in the Netherlands, the rest in the USA, but Konight does not give places): Gertrude (c. 1900), Cora (c. 1901), Nellie (c. 1903), Dora (c. 1905), John (C. 1908), Peter (c. 1910), Peter (c. 1911), Sebastian (c. 1912), and Ann (c. 1916).³ Married name: Driesse.

     Henrietta was born circa 1839.² She married John C May, son of Conrad May and Anna Straut.²

     The 1860 census lists John C May and Henrietta at Ramapo Twp, Rockland County, NY, with Conrad H (2, b. NY) and Ida E (4 mo, b. NY) in the household of Hannah Wanamaker (61, b. NY). John is 23, b. NY, farm laborer; Henrietta is 21, b. NY.¹ The 1870 census lists John C May and Henrietta at Ho-Ho-Kus Township, Bergen County, NJ, with Conrad H (12), Ida E (11), Jacob (8), Jane E (5), George (2), and James (11 mo, b. Aug). John is 32, farm laborer; Henrietta is 31; all are b. NY.³ The 1880 census lists John C May and Henrietta at Ho-Ho-Kus Township, NJ, with children Ida E (20), Jacob (18), Jane A (15), George (12), James (10), Nettie (7), and Minnie (1). John is 42, farmer; Henrietta is 40; all are b. NJ. Living with them is Ellen Straight, 72, b. NJ, widow, no relation stated.⁴ Married name: May.

     Hester was born in 1848 at Connecticut. She married George Snideker, son of Gilbert Snideker and Marian, in 1866 at Brooklyn, Kings County, NY.

     The 1880 census lists George Snideker and Hester at Brooklyn, Kings County, NY, with the two children. Hester's father was b. in England and her mother in New York.¹ Married name: Snideker.

     Honorine was born in 1872 at Belgium.¹ She married Prosper Van Haelst, son of Josephus Francies Marie Van Haelst and Amelia Francisca Buijck, in 1893.¹ Honorine died before 1920 (Prosper is widowed in the 1920 census.)²

     Honorine and Prosper Van Haelst immigrated in 1892, but probably not together.¹ The 1910 census lists Prosper Van Haelst and Honorine at Main Street (#344) at Little Falls Township, Passaic County, NJ, with their son Modest (17.)¹ Married name: Van Haelst.

     He was manumitted by Willem Kieft on 25 Feb 1644 after about 18 yrs of service to the Dutch West India Company. No patent found, but his land was cited as being next to that of Emanuel Peterson aka Emanuel Minuet.⁵

     Jane married John A Vreeland.¹ Jane died on 5 November 1889.¹

     The 1850 census lists James Denton and Jane at Brooklyn, Kings County, NY, with their children Sarah, Harriet, William, Margaret, Charles and Mary, They lived next door to John Granger.² The 19 July 1850 census lists Jane at Brooklyn, NY.³ The 13 July 1860 census lists James Denton and Jane at Brooklyn (7th Ward), Kings County, NY, with William Denton in the same house, but separate households (2d Division, house 572, family 796/797.)⁴ Married name: Jane Denton.

     Jane was born in 1854 at Upton On Severn, Worcestershire, England.¹ She married James Banner, son of Richard Banner and Sarah Goodman.²

NJ.³ The 1855 census lists Jacob May Jr. and Jane at Warwick, Orange County, NY, with seven children, all b. NJ, except the youngest: Jacob W (21), Catherine M (17), John (14), Ellen E (11), Mary A (6), Susanna (3), and Sarah J (4 mo, b. Orange County). Jacob is 46, b. NYC, laborer; Jane is 44, b. NJ.¹
     They are possibly in the 1860 census in Pompton Township, NJ, with two daughters: Susan (7) and Sally (5, b. NJ), but the ages seem to be off: Jacob is 45 (b. 1815, NY), team driver; Jane is 43; Susan and Jane prob. b. NY, but not indicated. Sally could be the same as Sarah J in 1870.⁴ The 1870 census lists Jacob May Jr. and Jane at Ramapo Twp, Rockland County, NY, with John J (28, b. NJ, farm laborer), and Sarah J (15, b. NJ). Jacob is 64, b. NY, laborer; Jane is 59, b. NY. They are next door to Walter W May and family.⁵ The 1875 census lists Jane at Ramapo Twp, NY, with two daughters: Sarah J (18, single, b. Rockland County) and Susan (20, widowed, b. NJ, house servant), and a grandson Jesse D Mariner (age unclear, indexed as 10, b. Rockland County). Jane is 63, b. NJ, widowed, washer woman.⁶ The 1880 census lists Jane, with her son John J (36, b. NJ, widowed, works in brickyard, father b. NY, mother b. NJ) and grandson Jesse Marender (8, b. NY, father b. NY, mother b. NJ). Jane is 70, b. NJ, widowed, father b. NY, mother b. NJ.⁷ Married name: May.

     Jane married Peter Van Buskirk, son of Thomas Van Buskirk and Margaret Brickers.¹ Jane died after 6 February 1775.¹
