Guertje Coerten and Hendrick had one more daughter Aertje or Erlee, acc. to Konight and BC-Familes. Courter had a number of unnamed, undated children.6,1,7
Konight FGS has Johannes Swart, husband of Rebecca Smack, remarrying with his mother-in-law Guertje Coerten at New Utrecht at some point. BC-Families Smack File has Guertje Coerten as widow of a Johannes Swart when she married Hendrik Smack. Both seem unlikely: Geertje was b c. 1653, and her first daughter marries in 1685, which is problematic as well, as in that case both must have been 16 at marriage.
Johannes died in 1744, by which time his mother-in-law was long dead. Hendrick Smack survived his wife, acc. to BC-Families.2,7,8 Name variation: Geertje Harmens Coerten.3 Name variation: Geurtje Harmans. Married name: Smack. Married name: Swart.

Myndert Coerten1

M, d. before 22 February 1706/7
Myndert Coerten was from Aernhem acc. to his marriage certificate.1 He married Marya Pieters, daughter of Pieter Pia and Maria Petit, on 9 January 1660 at New York City (DRC) (He was Meynart Courten, Soldier, from Aernhem; she Maria Pieters, jd from Amsterd. in N. Nederlt.)1,2 Myndert Coerten died before 22 February 1706/7.3,4

Family

Marya Pieters b. 19 Apr 1643

Myndert Coerten made a will on 25 October 1704. It was probated 22 Feb 1706/7. He mentions his daughter Hannah, and her son Coerten Andreas; his daughter Maria; his daughter Wyntje, and her son Myndert Lafavour, and Wyntjes mother Maria Coerten. It also mentions "a house built for Hendrick."3
Myndert Coerten's will mentions a daughter Hannah, who apparently married an Andries, as her son is Coert Andreas; it does not mention Hendrickje Meinderts, who did marry Andries Jansen. There is no baptism for a Coert, son Andries and Hanna or Hendrickje. Is Hendrickje really Hannah?3
     From Riker:
Meyndert Coerten, from Arnhem, came out as a soldier of the West India Co. He married in 1660 a girl of PIcard parentage, Maria, daughter of Pierre Pia; and visited Holland, returning the next year in the ship with Muyden, who probably drew him to H. He leased land of De Meyer. Coerten went to Flushing, and then to New Utrecht, where he served as an elder. High sheriff under Leisler, and one of his council, but his devotion to that party cost him a long imprisonment. He died on his farm c. 1706.
For his children, see Bergen Gen. 1st Ed (it is not in the 2nd edition, as later evidence changed the opinion, that he was of the Van Voorhees family.)4,5
