     Margitie Van Horn was born on 25 February 1711 at DRC, Hackensack, NJ.^1,3 She married Laurens Van Buskirk, son of Thomas Van Buskirk and Margaret Brickers, on 27 October 1727 (NY Lutheran Church) (at Hackensack, in my house. Laurens Thomassen Van Boskerk, and Margretje Lucas Van Hoorn, yd.)⁴ (Banns at Hackensack, NJ. by Voorlezer Hoejer.)⁴

     Margitie Van Horn and Laurens had five more children, most bp. in the NY Lutheran Church:

     Maria Van Horn was baptized on 23 July 1681 at New York City (DRC) (sponsor: Hillegond Cornelis; father Cornelis Janszen Van Hoorn, mother Anna Maria Jans; Abraham.)² She (1) married Enoch Vreeland, son of Enoch Michielsen Vreeland and Dirckje Meyers, on 22 October 1709 at New York.³ Maria Van Horn (2) married ? St. Leger.^4,5

     Name variation: Maritse Van Hoorn.⁴ Married name: Vreeland. Married name: St. Leger.⁶

     Maria Van Horn was baptized on 9 February 1718 at Hackensack, NJ, (DRC.)^1,2

     Maritje Van Hooren was born on 11 April 1701.³ She married Elias Vreeland, son of Johannes Vreeland and Claesje Braecke, on 11 May 1723 at Jersey City, NJ, (Bergen DRC) (He was Elias Johannissen Vreeland, ym, b. at Gemoenepan; she Marytje Van Hoorn, yd, b. at Pemmerpog, and both liv. at Gemoenepan.)^4,1,5 Maritje Van Hooren died on 23 September 1791.³

     Name variation: Mary Van Hoorn.³ Married name: Vreeland.

     Marytye Van Horn was born on 2 July 1705 at Hackensack, NJ.¹ She was baptized on 29 July 1705 (NY Lutheran Church.)¹ She married Peter Van Buskirk, son of Thomas Van Buskirk and Margaret Brickers.² (Banns on 10 October 1727 at DRC, Hackensack, NJ.)³

     Married name: Van Buskirk.

     Neesje Van Horn was born on 22 October 1723.⁵ She was baptized at Acquackanonck, NJ, (DRC.)⁵ She married Hendrick C Zabriskie, son of Christian Zabriske and Leah Hopper, on 12 May 1743 at Acquackanonck, NJ, (DRC.)^6,7 Neesje Van Horn died before August 1753 as her husband remarried.²

     Neesje Van Horn and Hendrick had three children. Konight indicates that the daughters have offspring, but does not continue the lines. See BC-Families for more information.

     Rachel Van Horn was born on 5 August 1718 (at Tappan.)^2,1 She was baptized on 31 August 1718 (NY Lutheran Church) at Hackensack (sp. Cornelis Van Hoorn, Jr and Antje Van Orden; parents: Christian Cornelisse Van Hoorn and wife Margareta.)^3,2 She married Peter P Bogert, son of Pieter Jans Bogaert and Fytie Mathysdr Flierboom, in 1736/37 at NY (Lutheran Church.)^3,4 Rachel Van Horn died in April 1802.¹

     Tallman File and Carol Dufur have Rachel as daughter of Barent Barentse Van Horn and Jannetje Pieters; but bapt. is clearly for daughter of Christian and his second wife. BC-Families does have a daughter Rachel for Barend, but with his second wife, and without any dates.^1,3,5 Married name: Bogert.

     Rachel Van Horn was born on 18 April 1753.¹ She was baptized on 3 June 1753 at Schraalenburgh, NJ, (DRC.)² She married Johannes D Banta, son of David Banta and Antje Ackerman.¹

     Rachel Van Horn and Johannes had seven more children, none are continued:

     Richard Van Horne was born on 20 September 1819.² He married Margaret Axford, daughter of Daniel Axford and Margaret Morgan.³ Richard Van Horne died on 11 September 1903.² He was buried in Union Cemetery in Hackettstown.³

     Name variation: Rev. Richard Van Horne.¹

     Rutger Van Hoorn was baptized on 5 January 1667.¹ He married Neeltie Van Vechten, daughter of Dirk Teunissen Van Vechten and Jannetje Michielsen Vreeland, on 25 April 1697.¹ Rutger Van Hoorn died before 8 June 1741.²

     Rutger Van Hoorn made a will on 6 June 1740. It was proved 8 Jun 1741. He was Ruth Van Hooren, of Bergen Co. Names only son John; daughter Jannitje, wife of Dirck Cadmus; daughter Marytle, wife of Elias Michielje Vreelandt; and Antie, wife of Jacob Bergen. Executors: Michielje Vreelandt, his wife Marytie, Jacob Bergen, and his wife Antie. Witnesses: Johannis Vreelandt, Johannis Diederick, and Hartman Blinckerhoff.^3,2
     While Vreeland has Ruth as female, the will extract does not list her as wife of widow of Rutger; it seems likely that Ruth is the abbreviation of Rutger, as BC-Families has Maritje as daughter of Rutger Van Horn and Neeltje van Vechten.
     There are some other probblems as well: The will lists Maritje as the wife of Elias Michielse Vreeland, acc. to BC-Families she is the wife of Elias Johannesse Vreeland; Annatje is wife of Jacob Bergen in the will in 1740; BC-Families Van Horn File has Richard Blanch as her first husband, and Jacob as her second; BC-Families Blanch File has Richard first married to Antye Van Horn, who d. bef. 1733. This cannot both be true.^3,4,5,6

     Siba Van Horn was born on 18 December 1720 at DRC, Hackensack, NJ.¹

     Siba Van Horn and Annatje Van Horn were twins.²

     Sophia Van Horn was born on 31 August 1833.¹ She (1) married Garret C Bartholf, son of John Bartholf and Leah Cosine.² Sophia Van Horn (2) married Albert Doremus.¹ She died in 1902.¹ She was buried in NY Cemetery (Maple Grove) in Hackensack.¹

     The 1870 census lists Garret C Bartholf and Sophia, with two children: John (14, b. NJ) and Leah (4, b. NJ). Garrit is 35, b. NJ, retired; Sopia is 37, b. NJ. They are in the same house, but different family as John and Leah Burthulf (both 67, b. NJ) John is a retired farmer.³ Married name: Bartholf. Married name: Doremus. Name variation: Sophia Van Horn Demarest (but it is unclear why.)¹

     Vroutie Van Hoorn was baptized on 25 July 1666 at New York City (DRC) (sponsors: Jan Corneliszen and Hillegond Joris; father Cornelis Janszen, mother Anna Maria Jans.)^2,3 She married Abraham Sandfort, son of Jacob Abramse Santfort and Sytie Van Alcmaer, on 27 February 1689 at New York City (DRC.)^4,5 (Banns on 8 February 1689. He was Abraham Santvoort, jm from N. Yorke; she Vrouwtje Van Hoorn, jd from N. Yorke. both liv. here.)⁵ Vroutie Van Hoorn died before 1720.¹

     Vroutie Van Hoorn and Abraham had at least five children, bp. NYDC:

     Uhlman had a marriage of Tunis Quick with Vrouwtje Van Horn, but acc. to BC-Families and Konight this is in error.^1,6,7 Married name: Sandfort.

     Aagje Van Houten was born in 1727.¹ She married Hendrik Doremus, son of Joris Doremus and Marrietje Berdan.²

     There are some inconsistencies here with BC-Families. Doremus File has Aagje's bp. as 5 Nov 1727 in Hackensack; but Van Houten File has Helmigh's marriage as 1730, and Aagje's bp. 28 Nov 1731 in Acquackanonck. Van Houten file does not list Elisabeth as daughter of Helmagh; but Doremus File does list her as such, under David Doremus entry.^3,1 Name variation: Eche Van Houten.² Married name: Doremus.

     Aagtje Van Houten was born in October 1707. She was baptized on 18 October 1707 at Bergen, NJ, (DRC) (sp. Cornelis Vrelant and his wife.)¹ She married Jacob Spier, son of Johannes Hendricksen Spier and Maritje Franse, on 18 October 1727 at Acquackanonck, NJ, (DRC.)¹

     Adrian V.R Van Houten was born in 1844.² He married Jane Vreeland, daughter of Joris Vreeland and Ann Yearance, on 10 January 1866.^3,1 Adrian V.R Van Houten died in 1916.² He was buried in Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Paterson, Sec 11 (II?), lot 280.^4,5

     Aegtje Van Houten was baptized on 18 October 1707 at Bergen, NJ.¹

     Agnes Gould Van Houten was born in 1828.¹ She married John Ackerman.¹

     Albert VanHouten was born on 23 August 1847.¹ He married Ann Eliza Schoonmaker, daughter of Daniel Henry Schoonmaker and Sarah Ryerson Alyea, on 12 October 1870.¹ Albert VanHouten died on 12 November 1894.¹ He was buried in Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Montclair.¹

     Albert VanHouten and Ann had no children.²

     Albert Van Houten was born in 1791.² He (1) married Gerritje Vreeland, daughter of Hartman Vreeland and Cathalyntje Post, in 1817 at Totowa, NJ, (DRC.)^1,4,2,3 Albert Van Houten (2) married Neeltye/Nelly Powelson (1797-1860.)²

     Albert Van Houten was born on 5 June 1943 at Paterson, Passaic County, NJ.¹ He died on 21 February 2009.^1,2 He was buried in DRC Cemetery in Wyckoff.^1,2

     Albert Van Houten lived between 1974 and 2009 at Midland Park, Bergen County, NJ.¹
Albert Van Houten's obituary appeared on 23 February 2009 in the Bergen Record.^3,1

     Andries Van Houten married Maritje Cadmus, daughter of Abraham Cadmus and Lea Van Winkle.²

     Andries Van Houten and Maritje had six children, acc. to Cadmus-Cole: Antje (1778), Elisabeth (1781), Andreysen, Jr (1785), Dirck (1787), Catlyntje (1790), and Pieter (1793). The source of the children's baptism is probably DRC Totowa, misidentified as Latonia (Paterson); see BC-Families, which has three more children: Helmeg (1770), Lena (1772), and Abraham (1774).^2,1
     NOTE: Cadmus-Cole has Maritje as daughter of Johannes Cadmus and Feitje Van Houten; this is not confirmed in BC-Families; neither in the Cadmus File, nor in the Van Houten A-I File. The Cadmus file lists Maritje as daughter of Abraham Cadmus and Lea; the Van Houten File has Andries as son of Halmagh Van Houten and Antje Post; which in view of the children's names makes lots of sense.^3,1,2 Name variation: Andreysen Van Houten.²

     Annetje Van Houten was born on 13 August 1682 (at Haersymes.)^1,2,3 She was baptized on 30 August 1682 at New York City (DRC) (sp. Helmont Roelofszen and Vrouwtie Claes; father Theunis Roelofszen, mother Annetie Claes.)⁴ She married Jacobus De Clerck, son of Daniel de Clerq and Marie de Moll, on 16 October 1706 at Tappan, NY, (DRC.)^1,2,5 (Banns on 14 September 1706. He was Jakobus De Klerck jm, b. in Oseburgh under the —— of
Holland in Telant; she Annetje Van Houten jd, b. at Haersymes under the goverment of New Jersey, betrothed in the presence of Daniel De Klerck, Grietje Kearyns (?), Kimis Van Houten, and Tryntje Claesse Kuyper.)^5,2
