There he met his future wife, Marian Maxwell Mackenzie. Edwin graduated from Brown in 1933, (3) married Marian in Rhode Island in 1935 and moved back to New Jersey.(4.)      After they married, they lived in Glen Ridge, Matawan and Bloomfield, NJ with their daughter, Patricia Allan, before settling in Little Falls, Passaic, NJ. (3.)
     Edwin was a Charter Member of the Little Falls Rotary Club andbecame a Life Member of Rotary International. He served as President of the Little Falls Unit from 1951-1952.(8.)
     He and his wife, Marian, were active in the Union Congregational Church in Upper Montclair, Essex, NJ for almost 40 years.(9) Edwin and his wife were married two days shy of sixty years, when his wife died in 1994. Edwin is survived by two daughters, Mrs Patricia V. Boyle and Mrs. Pamela V. Aloia, seven grandchildren and eightgreat-grandchildren.(10.)
     During WWII he was Civil Defense Director and later, DisasterControl Chairman for the Township of Little Falls from 1953 to1959.(6.)
     Edwin had an interest in sports for most of his life. He played baseball both at Glen Ridge High School and his years at Brown University. He also played tennis for the Brown tennis team and later became an umpire for the Eastern Tennis Umpire's Association and the U.S.Tennis Umpire's Association. (7.)
