     Mary Brady was born on 17 June 1871.1 She married Peter J Lavelle, son of Patrick Lavelle and Rose Fitzsimmons.1 Mary Brady died in 1955 at Shervier Home, Bronx, NY.1 She was buried on 17 December 1955 in Calvary Cemetery in Woodside.1

     Mary Brady's brother was Judge John Brady of Albany.1 The 1900 census lists Peter J Lavelle and Mary at 985 E. 170th St. at Bronx, New York County, NY, with their children Frank M and Rose. The birthdates are all off: Peter is listed as May 1863; Mary A. as Jan 1873; Frank as Apr 1891.2 The 1910 census lists Peter J Lavelle and Mary at 685 East 170th Street at Bronx, New York County, NY, with their children Frank, Rose and George.3
     Mary Brady was Peter Lavelle's second wife.
When the wife of her son George died, the children were raised by their grandmother, Mary Brady Lavelle. After her death, the youngest, Mary Jane went to live with her Aunt Rose and Uncle Bill Dougherty. She married Frank Swienki and they live in Syosset LI.
Mary Brady's family came from the Albany area, was related to a Judge Brady. (From M.J.L. Sweinki) Mary A. Brady Lavelle's brother was Judge John Brady of Albany. John had two known children: John Brady, who was also a lawyer and Judge, m. Margaret Brady, b. Oct.5, 1912 (widowed and living 10/92); and Jean, who married Frank Monahan, she was living, he deceased 10/92.1 Married name: Lavelle.
