The 1900 census has a Cornelius in Ridgewood (Pleasant Ave) with wife Elizabeth and six children, but the birth dates are all different. Elizabeth and her parents are born in Michigan, where later she is listed as born in Alabama, and her parents in Canada.2 The 1915 census lists Cornelius C Banta and Elizabeth at Harrison Ave at Ridgewood Twp, Bergen County, NJ, with their children Eddie, Eva (Oct 1890), Lottie (Apr 1894), Edith G (Dec 1896), and on the next page Jared C (Feb 1898), John (Jan 1900), Gertrude (Mar 1904), Russell (Dec 1906), Ida D (Aug 1908) and Gladys C (Jun 1910.)1
