     Margrietje Cadmus was born circa 1721.¹ She married Jacob Powelson circa 1748 (probably.)¹

     They moved to Somerset County.¹ Married name: Powelson.

     Maritje Cadmus was born on 4 May 1741.¹ She was baptized on 30 May 1741 at Second River, NJ, (DRC.)^1,2 She married Cornelius Post, son of Johannes Post and Elizabeth Van Houten, on 18 December 1760.^3,4,5

     Maritje Cadmus lived in 1760 at Slooterdam.⁶

     Maritje Cadmus was born circa 1719.¹ She married Cornelius Joralemon, son of Jacobus Janse Joralemon and Pieterje Claes, on 21 April 1739 at Second River, NJ.¹

     Maritje Cadmus was born in 1756.¹ She married Andries Van Houten, son of Simon Van Winkle and Prientje Van Giesen.¹

     Maritje Cadmus and Andries had six children, acc. to Cadmus-Cole: Antje (1778), Elisabeth (1781), Andreysen, Jr (1785), Dirck (1787), Catlyntje (1790), and Pieter (1793). The source of the children's baptism is probably DRC Totowa, misidentified as Latonia (Paterson); see BC-Families, which has three more children: Helmeg (1770), Lena (1772), and Abraham (1774).^1,3
     NOTE: Cadmus-Cole has Maritje as daughter of Johannes Cadmus and Feitje Van Houten; this is not confirmed in BC-Families; neither in the Cadmus File, nor in the Van Houten A-I File. The Cadmus file lists Maritje as daughter of Abraham Cadmus and Lea; the Van Houten File has Andries as son of Halmagh Van Houten and Antje Post; which in view of the children's names makes lots of sense.^2,3,1 Married name: Van Houten.

     Marritie Cornelisse Cadmus married Edo Marselis, son of Marcelis P VanMarselis and Pieterje Van Vorst, on 25 April 1713.^1,3,4

     Marritie Cornelisse Cadmus and Edo had probably two sons Cornelius and Marshall, who are mentioned in the deed of grandfather Cadmus in 1738.²

     Marytie Cadmus married Willem Koning, son of Johannes Koning and Rachel Van Emburgh, on 28 July 1757 at Second River, NJ, (DRC.)^3,1 (license (with license; William King and Marytie Cadmus, both from Second River.)¹)

     Name variation: Martje Thomas Cadmus.² Married name: Van Horn.

     Neeltje Cadmus was baptized on 23 June 1736 at Bergen, NJ, (DRC.)¹ She married Cornelis Corsen.²

     Married name: Corsen.

     Peter Cadmus was born in 1824 at New Jersey.^1,2 He married Eliza Hopper.

     The 1860 census lists Peter Cadmus and Eliza at Saddle River Township, Bergen County, NJ, with Jacob (13) and Elizabeth (1) Cadmus, both b. NJ; and Thomas (83, b. NJ, gentleman), and Margaret (81, b. NJ) Cadmus; and Daniel Carl (23, b. Sligo, Ireland, farm labor) and Flora Wright (12, b. NJ, black). Peter is 33, b. NJ, farmer; Eliza is 29, b. NJ. They are next door to Helmus Cadmus.²

     Pietertje Cadmus was born on 15 June 1740.¹ She was baptized on 6 July 1740 at Second River, NJ, (DRC.)¹

     Thomas Cadmus was born on 7 May 1707.¹ He was baptized on 15 May 1707 at Bergen (now Jersey City), NJ, (DRC.)¹ He married Cornelia Joralemon, daughter of Jacobus Janse Joralemon and Pieterje Claes, on 30 June 1733 at Second River, NJ, (DRC.)¹ Thomas Cadmus died after 15 May 1763 when he was a sponsor at the baptism of grandson Johannes Cadmus.¹

     Thomas Cadmus was born in 1777.¹ He married Margaretha Doremus on 17 November 1799 at Acquackanonck, NJ, (DRC.)¹

     The 1860 census listed Thomas Cadmus in Peter and Eliza Cadmus's household at Saddle River Township, Bergen County, NJ.²

     Amanda Cadwell was born on 27 December 1797.¹ She married Joseph House on 10 November 1818.

     Ellen Caffrey was born in 1851 at County Mayo, Ireland.² She married Patrick Beasty.¹

     Her parents were Thomas Caffrey and Ann. Both were b. in County Mayo, Ireland; Thomas b. 1817, d. in 1896, Ann b. 1820.¹ Married name: Beasty.

     Mary Ellen Cahill was born on 25 June 1850.³ She married John Milton Vreeland, son of William Vreeland and Eleanor DeGraw, on 22 March 1866.⁴ Mary Ellen Cahill died on 4 October 1942.³ She was buried on 8 October 1942 in Westbrook Rd Cemetery in Macopin.³

     Mary Ellen Cahill made a will at Passaic County, NJ. (#43889 F-2 P.Pr. 148 F-5 Will 161.)⁵ Married name: Vreeland.

     Thomas J Cahill was born on 25 October 1820 ((calculated.)¹) He married Annis T Freeland.¹ Thomas J Cahill died on 8 March 1903.¹

     Carman Cail was born on 4 January 1911.¹ He died in 1988.¹ He was buried.¹

     John Cail was born in 1867.¹ He married Mary May Warman, daughter of Richard Warman and Annie Johnstone.¹ John Cail died in 1952.¹

     Margrietje Cairns was baptized on 9 December 1792 at Acquackanonck, NJ, (DRC) (sp. Cornelius Stagg and Margrietje Banta.)¹

     Thomas Leo Caldroney was born on 17 December 1892 at Hackensack, NJ.¹ He married Lillia Flotard, daughter of Nicholas Collignon Flotard and Almira Yereance, on 13 October 1915.¹ Thomas Leo Caldroney died on 2 August 1939 at Ridgefield Park, NJ.¹

     Tannetje Caljouw was born in 1818 at Koudekerke, Zeeland, The Netherlands.² She married Jan Maas on 26 September 1840 at Oost en West Souburg, Zeeland, The Netherlands.²

     Her parents were Jan Caljouw and Lena Cappelle.²

     Elizabeth Call was baptized on 21 February 1640/41 at Charlestown, Suffolk County, MA.² She (1) married Samuel Tingley, son of Palmer Tingley and Anna Fosdick, on 20 September 1663.^3,2 Elizabeth Call (2) married Daniel Shepardson, of Malden, MA, on 11 April 1668.²

     Married name: Tingley.

     Mary Call was born in 1658.¹ She (1) married ? Bolles.¹ Mary Call (2) married Nathaniel Lord, son of Robert Lord and Mary Waite, on 31 December 1685.¹

     Her parents were Philip Call and Mary.¹ Married name: Bolles. Married name: Lord.

     Daniel Callahan was born in 1779 at Palmer's Hill, County Queens, Ireland.¹ He married Bridget Geoghan in 1821.¹ Daniel Callahan died in 1849 at USA.¹

     He was 42 when he married in 1821, according to Rose Delany's family record book.¹

     John Callahan was born at Palmer's Hill, County Queens, Ireland.¹ He married ? Fitzgerald.¹

     John Callahan and ? had four more children: John (went to England), Owen (had a general grocery, tea, wine & spirits warehouse in Bridge Carrickeg, Carrick-on-Siur), Patrick (went to England), and Mary (went to England) (From Rose Delany's family record book).¹

     Martin Callahan was born on 11 November 1824 at Palmer's Hill, near Agaboe, County Queens, Ireland.¹ He married Ellen Augusta Power, daughter of Maurice Power and Honorah Byrne.¹ Martin Callahan died on 8 November 1916 at 93 Elm St., Worcester, MA.¹ He was buried in St. John's Cemetery in Worcester.¹

     Rose Madeline Callahan was born on 3 September 1875 at Worcester, MA.¹ She married John Vincent Delany I, son of John Delany and Sarah Elizabeth Toohey, on 26 March 1913.¹ Rose Madeline Callahan died on 25 November 1946 at Worcester, MA.¹ She was buried in Calvary Cemetery in Newburgh.¹

     Married name: Delany.

     Edith Callanan married William Hine.¹ She died in 1980.¹ She was buried in Basking Ridge.¹

     Edith Callanan had They had a son William, of Basking Ridge, and a daughter Gloria, married, living in Delaware.² Married name: Hine.

     Edward Callanan was born in 1826 at Craughwell, County Galway, Ireland, (or 1828.)¹ He married Elizabeth Larkin on 14 September 1851 (New York, NY.)¹ Edward Callanan died on 24 July 1879 at New York City in the East River.¹ He was buried in Calvary Cemetery in Woodside.¹

     Edward Callanan immigrated in 1849. Edward Callanan and Elizabeth lived at 433 East 72nd Street at New York City (where the Cornell Medical Center is now.)¹
     From the Test Book records of the Emmigrant Savings Bank, Book 1, NYPL extracted 9/12/97, #6125 Dec. 29, 1853:
     According to a 'Cousin Mollie' in 1961 letters written to his granddaughter Emma Callanan Roche, Edward was born in Craughwell, Ireland.
     She also stated that his father was John Callanan and he was married to Mary Staunton of Claren Bridge. Mollie enclosed in this letter written in 1961 a photo of a thatched roofed cottage in Craughwell
     From the letters, it appears that John and Mary also had at least one other child, named Winifred, who remained in
Ireland, most likely Mollie's ancestor, so Callanan was probably not Mollie's surname (was it Monahan?) and definitely not her married name.²

It is possible that by 1869-70 Edward had turned over the carriage building business to his son John. It is known that sons Michael and Thomas were also in the business.
     Edward's death certificate states
His granddaughter Nola Kenworthy recalls that it was said in the family that he enjoyed swimming in the East River. There was no obituary in the NY Times but it was recorded there that the weather on that date was very hot.
He was buried in Calvary Cemetary, and reburied Plot 202, Section 9 in 1887 when his wife, Eliza Larkin Callanan purchased a larger family plot.
