Lloyd L Axford was a renowned lawyer who was the authority on the law of real estate. He is on the Law Faculty of the University of Detroit. His lectures were published under the title of 'Michigan Conveyancing' and a copy is found in nearly every Michigan law office.²
Lloyd and Henry Axford wrote a supplement of 10 pages on the genealogy of the Axford family in the second edition, vol. XIV, of a series published by The Pioneer and Historical Society of Michigan. This material was largely based on material gathered by Elizabeth Axford Flummerfelt, who was one of the earliest genealogists of the Axford family.
