     Richard Alyea was born on 14 November 1811.³ He was baptized on 24 November 1811 at Acquackanonck, NJ, (DRC.)³ He married Rachel Van Riper, daughter of Simeon Van Riper and Geertje Zabriskie, on 2 November 1833 at Acquackanonck, NJ, (DRC) (by Rev. John Berdan.)^3,4 Richard Alyea died on 20 April 1873.³ He was buried in Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Paterson.³

     The 1850 census lists Richard Alyea and Rachel at Saddle River, Bergen County, NJ, with their children Jane, Gertrude Anna, Elizabeth Sara, Simeon V.R, Rachel, David P and Lavinia (resp. 16, 13, 10, 8, 7, 6, and 5/12 yr.)^4,5
     The inventory of the estate of Richard Alyea, merchant of Saddle River was made by David P Alyea, administrator, and totaled $1658.25.³
     NOTE: Alyea File had J. as son of Richard Alyea and Rachel Van Riper. However, he is not in the 1850 census with Richard and Rachel considering that his birthdate is too close to Jane's this seems unlikely. He is also not listed in Bergen Families (Alyea File) Find-A-Grave has an Agnes Alyea, wife of John Andrew Alyea, who died in 1910.^6,7,8,9 Name variation: Dirck Alyea.³

     Samuel Alyea was baptized on 2 July 1758 at Schraalenburgh, NJ, (DRC) (sp. Samuel Helm and wife.)^1,2 He married Catriena.³

     Samuel served as an enlisted man in the 4th Regiment, Orange County Militia under Col. John Hathorn during the Revolutionary War.³ The 1790 census lists Samuel Alyea at Warwick, Orange County, NY, with 2 free while males over 16; 3 free white males under 16; 7 free white females; no slaves in the household.³

     Sara Alyea was baptized on 30 July 1769 at Schraalenburgh, NJ, (DRC) (no sp. listed.)² She married Joseph Roome, son of Jacob Roome and Hannah Morse, on 28 August 1796 at Schraalenburgh, NJ, (DRC.)³ Sara Alyea died on 15 September 1841.⁴

     Name variation: Sarah Elyea.⁴ Married name: Roome.

     Sarah Ann Alyea was born in 1819.³ She married Ralph Van Houten on 5 September 1839.^4,3

     Sarah Ryerson Alyea was born on 29 June 1820.² She was baptized on 21 July 1820 at Acquackanonck, NJ, (DRC.)² She married Daniel Henry Schoonmaker, son of Henry Schoonmaker and Catherine VanHouten, on 17 December 1846.² Sarah Ryerson Alyea died on 13 January 1867.²

     Simeon V.R Alyea was born on 25 June 1842.³ He married Gertrude Van Riper on 19 May 1869.⁴ Simeon V.R Alyea died on 4 July 1879.³ He was buried in Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Paterson.³

     Sophia Alyea was baptized on 25 January 1767 at Bergen County, NJ, (Paramus DRC.)^3,4,2 She married Steven J Bogert, son of Jacob A Bogert and Maria Hendriks Beer, in 1788.²

     They divorced in 1795; but remarried 1 December 1801 in DRC, Hackensack, NJ.^1,5,2 Name variation: Sufia Alyea.² Name variation: Fytje Alyea.⁶ Married name: Bogert.

     Sophia Jane Alyea was born on 4 August 1838.² She was baptized on 14 January 1839 at Paterson, NJ, (Totowa DRC.)²

     Susanna Alyea was baptized on 7 April 1717.¹ She married Stephen Terhune, son of Jan Terhune and Elisabeth Bertholf, on 16 September 1737.² (Banns on 6 August 1737.)^1,2

     Trienty Alyea was baptized on 24 November 1754 at Hackensack, NJ, (DRC) (sp. Joannes Alje and wife Anntje.)^1,3,4 She married Edward Eckerson, son of Thomas Eckerson and Maria Demarest.^5,6 Trienty Alyea died before 1803 as her husband remarried.⁷

     Albert was acc. to Find-A-Grave b. 1733; and has his first child bp. in 1759. If Albert is a son of this couple, Lena would be at least 44 at the last baptism. Not impossible, but stretching it.^3,4,2

     Dirk Amerman was baptized on 7 October 1759 at New York City (DRC) (sponsors: Dirk Amerman and wife Lea Maes; father Albert Amerman, mother Rebecca Bryend.)^1,2

     Jannetje Amerman was baptized on 29 October 1749 at New York City (DRC) (sponsors: Joost Palding and wife Susanna Witt; father Dirk Amerman, mother Lena Mas.)¹ She married Coenraad Ham.^1,2

     Peter Amerman was born on 29 May 1716.¹ He married Willemtje Schenck, daughter of Stephen Janse Schenck and Antje Wyckoff, on 2 November 1753.¹ Peter Amerman died on 30 March 1783 in the 67th year of his age.¹
