     Roeloff Jansen, from Maesterlandt, wife and family; came out to Renselaerwyck in 1630 as farmer to the Patroon, at $72 a year. They came from Texel on the "Eendracht" with their children Sarah, Katrina, and Fytje, leaving 21 Mar, and arriving in New Amsterdam on 24 May 1630.11,3,12 Anneke Jans made a will on 29 January 1663. She lists her children and grandchildren: Sarah Roellofson, wife of Hans Kierstede; Catrina Roeloffsen, wife of Johannes Van Brugh; Jannetje and Rachel Hartgers, children of dec'd daughter Fytie Roeloffsen, during her life the wife of Peter Hartgers; Jan Roeloffsen, and William, Cornelius, Jonas, and Peter Bogardus.3,13,14,15
     Countless law suits were filed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries claiming that farmland leased by Anneke Jans to Trinity Church was never returned to Anneke's heirs after the lease expired. This land now forms a major part of the financial district of New York City.16,17
     UNTRUE: Anneke's grandmother was Anneke Webber who was the daughter of King William the Fourth of Holland.18 Name variation: Anneke Webber (UNTRUE.)6 Married name: Bogardus.

     Is Dirck Jansz the same as Derck Jansen De Groot. His brother Carsen names him "De Groot" in his will; and Grietje Jans and Jacob Pietersen are sponsors at the baptism of son Jan in 1678.2 Name variation: Dirck Jansz de Groot.2
