     First I constitute and appoint my grandsons Abraham Tuers and Cornelius Tuers executors of this my last will and testament.
     Second I give and devise the real estate herein after mentioned and distributed to the following persons to wit Abraham, William, John, Cornelius, Sarah, Jane, and Fanny, children of my daughter (crossed out) son William who is now decd. Rachel, Luke, Aaron, Jacobus and Frances, Williams children of my daughter Sarah Winne now deceased. And Rachel Day daughter of my daughter Eleanor and Thomas Price grandson of my said daughter Eleanor whose now also decd. their heirs and assigns equally to be divided between them share and share alike.to wit those two several lots of land situated in the township of New Barbadoes aforesaid.
     The first lot containing about twenty acres is situated on both sides of the road from Ogden's tavern toward Hackensack bounded on the north on a lot of land which I have conveyed and granted to my son abraham Tuers on the west by land of Abraham Sandford on the south by land of Jacob Ogden and on the east by a lot of swamp or meadow belonging to estate of Cornelius Tuers decd excepting therewith the burying lot situated on the same together with a road or passage way from the street to the same which is to ____ as for a family buring place forever excepting reserving the house situated on the said lot which belongs to the heirs of my son Cornelius Tuers decd who are to be allowed to remove the same from the premises, Provided they remove the same on or before the first day of May next. and in case the same is not removed by that time the same is to be parcel of it to go with the said lot of land.
     The second lot divided to the persons herein before for that purpose named is a lot of salt meadow situated on both sides of the road leading from Newark to New York on the cause way near the elbow containing about eleven acres binding on lands belonging to the Mrs. Swartwoouts and on the south by Peter Sandford. All the residue of my estate the principal part whereof is a lot of land called the commons situated on both sides of the road leading from Ogden's tavern toward Hackensack containing about twenty eight acres. I direct to be divided among my heirs at law without regard to what any one of these may have received from me in my life time or herein before divided to them. Excepting there out so much therof as may be necessary to pay my debts which I may own and the costs of executing this my will and for those purposes I authorize my executor to raise the money by a sale of some part of the said last mentioned lot on the wood and timher standing on the same if my personal estate shall be insufficient for those purposes.
     Lastly, I hereby revoke all former wills by me made and declare this to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this twenty second day of January in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and twenty three.

Names wife Sarah ("formerly known as Sarah Whartman,"); children: Katherine, Peregrine, William, Grace, Elizabeth, Nidemia, wife of Richard Berry. Wife sole executrix with request to Col. Andrew Hamilton and James Emot of East Jersey, Gabriel Meenviell and Wm. Niccols of N. Y. to assist a "poor ignorant widow & five innocent children." Witnesses: Patrick ffalconar and John Browne.2 Name variation: Captain William Sanford.1
