Also possible would be that he is a son of Enoch Joris. Enoch Joris does not have a son Enoch, but there is plenty of space for another child. However, hsi mother would likely be Cornelia Kip, and he does not name a child after her.

     Enoch Michielsen Vreeland made a will on 12 April 1715. It was proved 13 Nov 1719, executrix sworn in 11 Apr 1720. He was Enoch Michielse, of Naitsionk alias Pembrebogh, Bergen Co., Esq're. Names late wife Dircksje Meyers, who had Michael, Johannes, Abraham, Isaac, Enoch, Elsie, widow of Edward Earle, and Catherine Albertse; present wife Ephy, who has Elias, Jacob, and George, all under age. Wife sole executrix and guardian; after her death or remarriage brothers-in-law Rut van Horne and David Coesart. Witnesses: E. White, May Bickley, Elizabeth Bickley, and C. (?) Chambers junior.13,14
     He was commissioned ensign of the militia of Bergen July 4, 1681; Associate Judge of the Court at Bergen in 1673,'74,'81,'82 and '83; Commissioner of Highways for the County in 1682 and '92; and Assistant Judge of the Bergen Common Pleas, May 22, 1705.
     Enoch was a member of the General Assembly of the Province in 1675-'88, 1707, '08 and '09. In the last year he was not prompt in his attendance, and the sergeant-at-arms was directed to bring him forthwith before the House.1
     He lived on the bluff where the Central Railroad crosses the Morris Canal, near Cavan Point, now in Hudson County, NJ. Name variation: Enoch Michielszen.15
     Vreeland File (Porter) has Enoch b. 26 Oct 1649 and d. 17 Aug 1714. As he made a will in 1715, this has to be incorrect. Michiel Janszen does have an unnamed child bp on 24 Oct 1649.16,17
