John L Westervelt1

     John L Westervelt was born on 2 August 1809 at New Jersey (but 42 in 1850.)1,2,3 He married Catharine Larmour on 21 May 1831 at Bergen County, NJ.1,4 John L Westervelt died on 4 November 1860.1 He was buried in NY Cemetery (Maple Grove) in Hackensack.5

NJ.)3 John L Westervelt was a blacksmith.2 The 1860 census lists John L Westervelt and Catharine at New Barbadoes Township, Bergen County, NJ, with Elizabeth Westervelt (15, b. NJ.)2 His parents were Lucas John Westervelt (1781-1825) and Belinda Demarest (1784-1858.)5 Name variation: John Lucas Westervelt.5
