Sybesma died in 1929.5 She was buried in Valleau Cemetery in Ridgewood, Plot #628. A Winnie Gnade nee Sybesma (3 Jul 1902 - 31 Jan 1920) is buried in the same plot.5

     Botje Attema and William had nine children born in Wymbritseradeel, Friesland, The Netherlands: Aukje (1880 #A265, died 1880 #203)), Siek (1881 #A301), Aukje (1883 #A 364), Marie (1885 #A 18), Trijntje (1886 #A 287), Reitze (1888 #A 31, died 1888 #A 83), Reitze (1889 #A 93), Wytske (1890 #A 376) and Eelkje (1892 #A 37).6 Boltje Sybema and Will Sybema immigrated on 10 May 1892 on the Maasdam, from Rotterdam, arriving in New York on 10 May 1892, with 7 children: Siek (10), Aukje (8), Marie (7), Trietje (5), Bertje (2), Witske (1) and Eeltje (9 mo). They were going to Paterson, NJ.7 The 1900 census lists William R. Sybesma and Bertha S. at (#251) at Midland Park Borough, Bergen County, NJ, with seven children: Samuel W. (Oct 1881), Aggie (Nov 1883), Trina (Oct 1886), Richard (Jun 1889), Alice (Feb 1892), all born in Holland, and Winnie (Jul 1894) and Mary (Jul 1898) both born in NJ.2 Her parents were Siek Jans Attema and Mari Bottes Wiersma.3
     There is an entry in James Malafyt's book on this family.8 Name variation: Boltje Sybema.7 Married name: Bertha S. Sybesma.2
