     Adrian Wentink was born on 15 January 1846 at Ouddorp, Zuid Holland, The Netherlands.^1,2,3,4 He married Neeltje Pikaar in 1869.^1,2 Adrian Wentink died on 24 March 1927 at Paterson, NJ.³ He was buried in Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.³

     Adrian Wentink immigrated in 1867.² He was naturalized on 4 November 1872 at Passaic County Court.^5,6 The 1880 census lists Adrian Wentink and Nellie at Paterson (ED 149), Passaic County, NJ, with four daughters, all b. NJ: Jane (11, worker in silk mill), Lena (7), Nellie (2), and Gertha (4 mo). Adrian is 34, a brick mason; Nelly is 30, both b. Holland.⁷ The 1900 census lists Adrian Wentink and Nellie at 10 N. Straight Street at Paterson (ward 1), Passaic County, NJ, with eight children, all b. NJ: Jennie (Apr 1874, silkworker), Lena (Oct 1875), Nellie (Oct 1877), Gertie (Feb 1881, silkworker, year should 1880), Francis (Dec 1883, silkworker), Adrian (May 1885), Leonard (May 1889), and Frank (Oct 1893). Adrian is b. Jan 1846, a mason; Nelly is b. Mar 1850, both b. Holland; they were married 31 yrs, Nellie had 12 children, 8 living; they immigrated in 1866-67; they were in the US for 33 years. The kids are on the next page.² The 1910 census lists Adrian Wentink at 10 N. Straight Street at Paterson (ward 1), NJ, with four children, all b. NJ: Adrian (25, bookkeeper at a bank), Leonard (20, bank clerk), Frank (16, housepainter), and Lena (34, housekeeper). Adrian was 64, widowed, mason. He imm. in 1865 and was naturalized.⁸
     In 1910, Adrian is a widower; in 1915 he is listed as married, but no wife listed; in 1920 he is a widower again.
     In 1912 Adrian and Louise Wentink arrive in NY (no doubt after a trip home) on the SS Rotterdam. They left Rotterdam op 5 Oct 1912, but the departurelist does not list Louise, just has '2' after Adrianus. The immigrationlist has Louise Wentink; they were citizens, he was 66, she was 51. They go to 10 N. Straight Street, Paterson, NJ. Adrian was naturalized in Passaic County on 4 Nov 1872.^9,10 The 1915 census lists Adrian Wentink at 10 N. Straight Street at Paterson (ward 1), NJ, with three children, all b. NJ: Leonard (May 1889, bank clerk), Frank (Oct 1894, housepainter), and Lena (Oct 1872, dressmaker). Adrian was b. Jan 1846, brick mason. Adrian and Leonard are listed as married.¹¹ The 1920 census lists Adrian Wentink at 10 N. Straight Street at Paterson (ward 1), NJ, with Frank (26, machinist automobile), and Lena (47, no occupation). Adrian was 74, widowed, no occupation. Frank is listed as a boarder, Lena as housekeeper.¹² His parents were Frans Wentink and Susannetje Last.⁴

     Nellie Wentink was born on 19 October 1877 at Paterson, NJ.^1,3 She married Hotse Rusticus, son of Tiette Rusticus and Ieke Wiersma, on 14 December 1904 at Paterson, NJ.¹ Nellie Wentink died on 23 November 1959 at Paterson, NJ.³ She was buried in Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Fair Lawn.³

     Emma Wenzel was born on 8 April 1877 at New York City.¹ She married William Brower, son of William Brower and Martha A Barker, on 25 December 1897 at Paterson, NJ, (2nd Presbyterian Church.)¹ Emma Wenzel died on 27 January 1961 at East Paterson, NJ.¹

     Emma Wenzel was circa 1895 a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church at East Paterson.¹ She and William had a set of twins, Ethyl and Lily, b. 14 Feb 1901, who died the same day at 88 Jefferson St., Paterson.¹ Emma Wenzel was a pleasant, firm and loyal wife. and mother. She not only raised her own family but also raised her son's, Walter, two children under difficult conditions. Married name: Brower.

     Esther Werdtlin was born circa 1689 at Canton Zuerich, Switzerland.^2,3,4 She married Moritz Goetschi, son of Rudolph Goetschi and Magdalana Kolloger, on 24 February 1710 at Switzerland.^5,1,6,7 Esther Werdtlin died on 2 September 1777probably at Philadelphia, PA.^8,9 She was buried in South Church Cemetery in Schraalenburgh.⁹

     Moritz came to Philadelphia on the "Mercury," which arrived there on 29 May 1735. He died the day after, leaving his wife Esther and 8 children: Hendryk, Barbara, Esther, Rodolph, Mauritz, Beatus and Magdelena and his son-in-law Conrad Wuertz. They had left Zurich on 4 Oct 1734. (The ages of most of the children in the passenger list are off by a few years). They qualified to take the oath of allegiance to PA on 29 May 1735. Last name listed as Götschy. On pg.114 Hendryk is 17, and Conrad Wuertz is 26; on p.115 Esther, the mother, is 44, Barbara 18, Esther 16, Anna 24, Rodolph 12, Mauritz 10, Beat 8, and Magdalena 6.      John Henrik Werth and Maria had four children, all bp. in Schoharie: John Jacob (b. 28 Oct 1772, bp. 9 Nov 1772; sp. John Jacob Werth and Maria Elisabet his wife; Schoharie #940); Maria Elisabet (b. 5 Apr 1774, bp. 17 Apr 1774; sp. John Jacob Werth and Maria Elisabeth; Schoharie #1013); Angenitje (b. 23 Oct 1776, bp. 2 Nov 1776; sp. Piter Snyder and wife Angenetje; Schoharie #1163); and Catharina (b. 10 Jan 1778 (? sic!), bp. 17 Jan 1779; sp.      Aeltje Wessels was from Tolhuys near Schenckenschaus acc. to her marriage certificate.¹ She married Francis Rombouts on 31 May 1665 at New York City (DRC) (He was Francoys Rombouts, jm from Hasselt, in't land van Luyck; she Aeltje Wessels , jd from Tolhuys near Schenckenschaus.)¹ Aeltje Wessels died before 1675.²

     Anna Wessels was baptized on 9 February 1670 at New York City (DRC) (sp. Pieter Jacobszen Marius, Nicolaes Janszen Backer, and Aeltie Willems; father Wernart Wessels de Jonge, mother Debora Pieters.)^2,3 She married Cornelis Christiaenszen on 19 February 1689 at New York City (DRC) (He was Cornelis Christiaenszen, jm; she Anna Wesselszen, jd from Yorke, both liv. here.)⁴

Abraham Janszen and Mayken Harbendingk; father Laurens Wesselszen, mother Aeltje Jans.)^2,3 She married William Roome, son of Jan Willemsen Roome and Marritie Bastiaans, on 27 March 1712.^4,5,6 (with license; William Roome and Anna Wessels; reg.
