     Pieter Van Slyck and Johanna had two more children, who died before he made his will (but prob. after 1705, as there are no namesakes):
1. Willem (bp. 20 Sep 1685; father Pieter Willemsz, mother not listed; sp. Willem Neefje and Barentje Neefje)
2. Hans (bp. 25 Sep 1687; father Pieter Willemsz, mother not listed; sp. Hieronimus Hansz and Rebecca Everts).^2,4 Pieter Van Slyck made a will on 24 March 1735. It was proved 16 Jan 1741/2. He was Pieter van Slyck, of Kinderhook, Albany Co., farmer. Mentions but does not name his wife; sons Thunes, Dirck, and Pieter; daughters Elizabeth, wife of Arie Gardenier; Catharyna, wife of Moses Ingersole; Anna, wife of Johann Jacob Eal; Barentje. Executors: sons Thunes, Pieter and Dirck. Witnesses: Aarent van Dyck, Lambert Huyck and Johannis Huick.⁵

     Teunis Van Slyck was baptized on 20 November 1692 at Albany, NY, (DRC) (sp. Jan Hansz and Elsje Rutgersz; father Pieter Willemsz Van Slyk, mother Johanna Hansz.)^1,2 He (1) married Anna Vosburgh in 1725.³ He (2) married Cathalyna Goewey in 1739.³

     Theunis Van Slyck married Jannetje Hendriksz Van Wie on 5 February 1696 at Albany, NY, (DRC) (He was Teunis Willemsz Van Slyk, ym liv. Albany; she Jannetje Hendriksz, yd liv. Albany.)^1,2,3

     Theunis Van Slyck had eight children are mentioned in the will; Beertje is not listed. He made a will on 4 November 1746. It was proved 21 Nov 1748. He was Teunis van Slyck, of Coxsakie, Albany Co., yeoman. Names wife Jannetje, children William, Hendrick, Andries, Gerrit Teunissen, Peter, Eybie, Alida and Chatrina. Executors: the wife, son Peter, and Jacob Freese. Witnesses: Albert van Loon, Eghbert Ebberse, and Jacob Freese.⁴

     Tryntje Van Slyck was baptized on 14 November 1697 at Albany, NY, (DRC) (sp. David Schuyler and Elsje Staats;father Pieter Van Slyk, mother Johanna Jansz.)^1,2 She married Moses Ingersoll in 1719.^3,4

     Tryntje Wllemse Van Slyck was from N. Albanien acc. to her marriage certificate.^1,3 She married Conrad Houghtaling, son of Mathias Houghtaling and Maria Hendrikse Marcelis, at Albany, NY, (DRC.)^1,4 (Banns on 26 August 1688. First banns. He was Coenraad Mattysz Hoogteeling, ym; she Tryntje Wiilemsz Van Slyk, yd, of N. Albany.)³ Tryntje Wllemse Van Slyck died at Albany, Albany County, NY.¹

     Married name: Houghtaling.

     BC-Families has his wife as Baertje; and has him as son of Pieter van Slyck and Johanna Hanse. It seems unlikely (although not impossible) that his mother has the same name as his daughter-in-law.^2,3
     Konight and BC-Families have most Van Slycks as decensdants of Willem Van Slyck; Pearson says Willem settled in Columbia County, and gives no descendants; has most van Slycks as descendants of Jacques. Name variation: Willem Pieters Van Slyck.⁴

     Adrianus Van Soelen was born in 1875.¹ He married Johanna Maria Burgers.

     Adrianus van Soelen was born in 1908 at Amsterdam, The Netherlands.¹ He married Josephina Johanna Hofstede on 22 May 1929 at Amsterdam (she was 21, b. Amsterdam, daughter of Josephus Johannes Hofstede and Johanna Wilhelmina Vocht, who are living in Paterson, NJ.)¹ He died in March 1985 at Ocean County, NJ.²

     Adrianus van Soelen immigrated with his wife Josephina op de 'Volendam,' leaving Rotterdam on 26 Nov 1929, and arriving at NYC on 8 Dec 1929. His occupation was concrete worker. (On the next image:) Their contact in the Netherlands is his father A. Van Soelen in Amsterdam; they are going to Haledon, NJ, his contact there is his father-in-law J.J. Hofstede.³ The 1930 census lists Adrianus van Soelen at Haledon Borough, Passaic County, NJ, with his wife Josephina. Both are 22, b. Holland, imm. 1929, married at 21; Adrianus is a machinist. They are in the same house, but separate family as Josephus Hofstede with hs wife and three children.⁴

     Anna van Soelen was born in 1911 at Amsterdam, The Netherlands.¹ She married Christiaan Schaap on 26 May 1932 at Amsterdam (he was 23, b. Amsterdam, son of Christiaan Schaap and Frederika Sophia Wilhelmina Bierwolf.)¹

     Elizabeth Van Soelen was born in December 1844 at Tiel, Gelderland, The Netherlands, (30 at marriage.)^1,2 She married Bernardus Faddegon on 23 October 1873 at Amsterdam, The Netherlands.^1,2

     Bernardus Faddegon and Elizabeth lived between October 1887 and November 1890 at Haarlemmerdijk 89 at Amsterdam, The Netherlands, with 3 children: Bernardus Leonardus Johannes Henri (b. 1 Jan 1877, Amsterdam), Elisabeth Helena Johanna (b. 22 Feb 1875, Nieuwer Amstel) and Johanna Bastiana (b. 20 Oct 1881, Amsterdam). In November 1890 they leave for North America; the shiplist has them going to Paterson, Bernardus (40) is listed as a smith, Bernard (13) as a printer; wife Elizabeth (47), daughters Elizabeth (15) and Jansje (9). They live at vrious addresses in Amsterdam from 1876. Before that they lived in Nieuwer Amstel (although they are living in Amsterdam when they married.^3,4,1 The 1900 census lists Barnard Faddegun and Elizabeth at Park Ave (#142) at Manchester Township (Hawthorne Borough), Passaic County, NJ, with two children, b. Holland: Benjamin (b. Jan 1877) and Jennie (b. Oct 1881); and a boarder Peter C Hartog. The family immigrated in 1889. Barnard and Benjamin are painters, Jennie a silk embroiderer.² Her parents were Johannes Cornelis van Soelen and Johanna Petronella van Westering. Both were deceased.¹ Married name: Elizabeth Faddegun.²

     Jan van Splunder was born on 24 October 1864 at Goedereede, Zuid Holland, The Netherlands.¹

     Abraham Van Steenbergh was of Kingstown acc. to his marriage certificate.³ He married Maritjen Shepmoes, daughter of William Shepmoes and Catryntjen Tappen, on 19 May 1732 at Kingston, NY, (DRC) (He was Abraham Van Steenbergen, junior, jm; she Maria Schepmoes, jd, both of Kingstown.)³

     Abraham Van Steenbergh made a will on 9 March 1770 at Ulster County, NY. He was of Kingston. It was proved 16 May 1770. It mentions his wife Marytie; sons Tobias, Wilhelmus, Mattheus, Abram, and Dirck; daughters Catherine, Arjaentie, Marytie wife of James Eltinge, and Sarah. Executors: sons Tobias, Wilhelmus, Mattheus. Witnesses: Tobias van Steenbergh, barber; Jacob Groen, saddler, and Willem Eltinge, merchant, all of Kingston.⁴

     Abraham T Van Steenbergh was baptized on 27 May 1785.¹ He (1) married Catharine Van Steenbergh on 7 September 1812.¹ Abraham T Van Steenbergh (2) married Ann Hasbrouck on 1 December 1823.¹

     Annatje Van Steenberg was baptized on 9 June 1754.¹ She married Conrad Elmendorf, son of Wilhelmus Elmendorf and Jenneke Louw, on 18 August 1776 at Kingston, NY.¹ Annatje Van Steenberg died on 30 September 1812.¹

     Aries Van Steenbergh was born in 1697.² He married Baartien Swart.

     Benjamin Van Steenbergh married Zara Burhans, daughter of Abraham Burhans and Annetje Osterhoudt, on 14 November 1765.^1,2

     Benjamin Van Steenbergh was born in 1706.² He married Rachel Suylandt.

     Dirck Van Steenbergh married Annatje Houghteling, daughter of Teunis Houghteling and Elizabeth Beekman, on 25 October 1779.¹

     Elizabeth Van Steenbergh was baptized on 26 September 1756.¹ She married Thomas Houghteling, son of Teunis Houghteling and Elizabeth Beekman, on 17 October 1777 at Kingston, NY.¹

     Johanna Van Steenbergh married Petrus Burhans, son of Abraham Burhans and Annetje Osterhoudt, on 4 May 1754.¹

     Johannes Van Steenbergh was from Kingston acc. to his marriage certificate. He married Helena Burhans, daughter of Abraham Burhans and Annetje Osterhoudt, on 19 October 1752.^2,3

     Matthew Van Steenburghen was born in 1742.¹ He married Hilletje Schoonmaker, daughter of Hendrick Schoonmaker and Hanna Whittaker, in June 1771.¹ Matthew Van Steenburghen died in 1820.¹

     Teunis Van Steenberg was baptized on 19 April 1702 at Kingston, NY, (DRC) (sponsors: Thomas Janssen van Steenberg and Laurentia ten Broek; father Tys Janssen van Steenberg, mother Marritje Elissen.)^3,2 He married Helena Crispell, daughter of Jan Crispell and Geertje Janse Roosa.¹

     Thomas V Van Steenbergh was baptized on 13 December 1789.¹ He married Elizabeth Burhans on 13 February 1813.¹

     Tobias Van Steenbergh was baptized on 11 May 1735.¹ He married Antjen Van Gaasbeek, daughter of Thomas Van Gaasbeek and Margaret Elmendorf, on 10 August 1783.¹ Tobias Van Steenbergh died in 1797.¹

     Marytie Van Stryen (1) married Tobias Ten Broeck, son of Dirck Wesselse Ten Broeck and Styntje Van Buren, on 24 October 1714 at Albany, NY.¹ Marytie Van Stryen (2) married Domine Johannes Van Driesland on 9 August 1727 at Kinderhook, NY.¹ Marytie Van Stryen died on 31 December 1734.¹

     Derrick Janse Van Sutphen was born in 1640 at Zutphen, Gelderland, The Netherlands.^3,2 He married Lysbeth Janse, daughter of Jan Jacobs and Geertie Gysbrechts, in 1680.³ Derrick Janse Van Sutphen died before 29 October 1707 at Yellow Hook, NJ.^3,2 He was buried in DRC Cemetery in Flatbush, (This site has lots of references.)⁴

     He was a farmer, and came to New Netherland c. 1651. He lived in New Amsterdam, New Utrecht, NY, and Freehold, NJ.
     He took the oath of allegiance in 1687 as "Dirck Janse Van Sutphen, of New Uijtrecht, 36 yrs in country." However, acc. to Sutphen Family, he came to New Netherland c. 1676.^2,5,6,7 Derrick Janse Van Sutphen made a will on 4 September 1702. It was probated 29 Oct 1707. He was of New Utrecht, in Kings County. He mentions his wife Elizabeth; children: Jacob (eldest son), Jan, Dirck, Greentie, Abraham, Isaac, Elizabeth, Elsie, wife of Harmon Gerittse and Hendricke, wife of Peter. Friends Cornelius Van Brunt, Jacques Cortelyou, Joost Van Brunt and Peter Cortelyou to be guardians of my children. Witnesses: Samuel Leveridge, Daniel Latham, John King, and Abraham Gouverneur.^2,8,9 Name variation: Dirck Janse Van Sutphen.³
