Jacobus Schuurman came to this country from Holland, in company with Rev. Theodorus Jacobus Frielinghuysen. Frelinghuysen arrived at New York at the close of the year 1719, or beginning of 1720, in the ship King George, Capt. Goelet. The records of the Dutch Church at New Brunswick show the admission of “Jacobus Schüurman ” to church membership on confession on 15 Apr 1720.
