     Klaasje Kooistra was born at St. Jacobiparochie, Het Bildt, Friesland, The Netherlands.¹ She married Pieter Dirks Kuiken, son of Dirk Klazes Kuiken and Neeltje Pieters Dijkstra, on 6 May 1880 at Het Bildt, Friesland, The Netherlands.¹

     Klaasje Kuiken and Pieter Dirks Kuiken immigrated on 9 October 1898 on the Statendam from Rotterdam (29 Sep 1898) arriving in New York. Their contact was his brother Dirk Kuiken in Paterson, NJ.      The 1905 census lists Meindert Annes Kooistra and Catherine, with children, all except the youngest one b. on Holland: Cornelius (May 1891), William (May 1892), Sadie (Apr 1893), Elsie C (Jan 1896), Maggie (May 1897), Frannie (Jul 1898), Anna(Apr 1902, misidentified as F), and Henry (Nov 1904, NJ.)⁴ His parents were Anne Fokkes Kooistra and Zwaantje Meinderts Meindertsma.² Meindert Annes Kooistra and Catherine had more children b. in Ferwerderadeel: Anne (M, b. 15 Apr 1890, d. 3 Jun 1896 at age 6) Cornelis (M, b. 2 May 1891), Elsje Cornelia (F, b. 9 Jan 1896), Maaike (F, b. 18 May 1897), Foekje (F, b. 9 Jul 1898), Jacoba (F, b. 30 Dec 1899), Anne (M, b. 12 April 1902).      Abraham Kool was baptized on 2 November 1707 at Hackensack, NJ, (DRC) (sp. Abram Blauveldt and Alisa Bealy; parents: Jacob Kool and Barbera Jansen.)^1,3,4 He married Annetje Meyer, daughter of Ide Meyer and Gertruyd Van Dalssen.^1,5,2

     Abraham Kool and Annetje had at least one child, bp. 1741 in Tappan.⁶

     Annatje Kool married Anthony Van Blarcom, son of Jan Van Blercum and Vrouwtie Kip.¹
