     I have not been able to find the baptisms in Zeeland online, but the Middelburg Church Records seem to no longer exist (see FamilySearch catalog entries for Middelburg, The Netherlands.)²

     Catalina De Hart was baptized on 25 October 1684 at New York City (DRC) (sponsors: Willem Veenvos and Jannetie de Wit; father Jacobus de Hart, mother Cornelia Pieters.)^1,2 She married Jacob Kip, son of Johannes Kip and Catharine Kierstede, on 4 December 1704.³

     Her parents were Jacobus De Hart and Cornelia Pieters Beeck (poss. the daughter of Aeltje Willems.^3,2 Married name: Kip.

     Pauline DeHooge was born on 16 April 1865 at Belgium.^3,4 She married John VanderMeulen, son of Gary VanderMeulen.⁵ Pauline DeHooge died on 4 January 1945 at Singac, Passaic County, NJ.¹ She was buried in Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa Borough.⁴

     The 1900 census lists John VanderMeulen and Pauline at Little Falls Twp, Passaic County, NJ, with their children Eva (15), Mary (14), and Garry (2), and his father-in-law John Dehooge.² The 1910 census lists John VanderMeulen and Pauline at Dewey Ave at Little Falls Township, Passaic County, NJ, with their sons Gary (12) and Frank (7), both born in NJ, and his father Gary VanderMeulen.³ The 1920 census lists John VanderMeulen and Pauline at Little Falls Twp, NJ, with their sons Garret (22) and ? (17), both born in NJ.⁵

     Catherine Henderika De Jonge was born in March 1867 at Smilde, Drenthe, The Netherlands.^2,3,4 She married Meindert Annes Kooistra on 30 May 1889 at Ferwerderadeel, Friesland, The Netherlands.^2,1,4 Catherine Henderika De Jonge married Jacob Smith, son of Albert Smit and Jennigje Noordman.⁵ Catherine Henderika De Jonge died after 1937.⁵

     Catherine Henderika De Jonge immigrated in 1902.³ The 1905 census lists Meindert Annes Kooistra and Catherine, with children, all except the youngest one b. on Holland: Cornelius (May 1891), William (May 1892), Sadie (Apr 1893), Elsie C (Jan 1896), Maggie (May 1897), Frannie (Jul 1898), Anna(Apr 1902, misidentified as F), and Henry (Nov 1904, NJ.)⁶ The 1915 census lists Jacob Smith and Catherine at Irving Street at Midland Park Borough, Bergen County, NJ, with seven Kooistra children, all except the youngest one born in Holland: William (May 1892), Sadie (Apr 1893), Elsie (Jan 1896), Maragret (May 1897), Francis (Jul 1898), Andrew (Apr 1902), Henry (Nov 1904, b. NJ), and Jenny Smith (7, b. NJ). Jacob Sr. was a contractor, and had been in the US for 44 years. A Jacob Smith (Feb 1888, S, b. NJ, parents b. Holland, horseshoe) and Jennie Smith (Sep 1893, M, b. NJ, parents b. Holland) are enumerated before them, and a Harry (Sep 1889, b. NJ, parents b. Holland) Smith with wife and two children after them. Harry is a plumber.⁴ The 1930 census lists Jacob Smith and Catherine at Irving Street at Midland Park Borough, NJ, with three children: Henry K. (25, b. NJ, prob. a son of Catherine's 1st marriage), Jean (22, b. NJ), Elisabeth (15, adopted, b. NJ), and a boarder Garrett Klein (27, b. Holland, imm 1905.)⁷ Catherine Henderika De Jonge and Meindert had more children b. in Ferwerderadeel: Anne (M, b. 15 Apr 1890, d. 3 Jun 1896 at age 6) Cornelis (M, b. 2 May 1891), Elsje Cornelia (F, b. 9 Jan 1896), Maaike (F, b. 18 May 1897), Foekje (F, b. 9 Jul 1898), Jacoba (F, b. 30 Dec 1899), Anne (M, b. 12 April 1902). Her parents were Cornelis de Jonge and Elsien de Vries.² Married name: Catherine Kooistra. Married name: Catherine Smith.⁴

     Rienk de Jong immigrated on 10 June 1893 on the Rotterdam, from Rotterdam, arriving on 10 Jun 1893 in New York. He was alone, and going to Paterson, NJ.⁵ The 1910 census lists Rienk de Jong and Jennie at 125 North Main Street (1st Ward) at Paterson City, Passaic County, NJ, with six children: Josie (13), Elida (12), Martha (8), Tillie (7), John S. (5) and Richard (3), all born in NJ.³ Rienk de Jong was in 1910 a merchant (hardware), in 1920 a blacksmith helper.^3,4 The 1920 census lists Rienk de Jong and Jennie at 81 Rea Ave at Haledon Borough, Passaic County, NJ, with five children: Alida (21), Martha (18), Tillie (17), John S. (15) and Richard (13), all born in NJ.⁴
     Possible he was born on 19 April 1874 as son of Marten de Jong and Elizabeth Hof (1874 #A 139), but he has no son Marten and no daughter Elisabeth.⁶
     Possibly he was living as a lodger at 94 Hamilton Ave (3rd Ward), Paterson City, Passaic County, NJ, in the 1900 census. He was 26, born Apr 1874 in the Netherlands. Occupation unreadable, he is single, and household is continued from another page, but the reference is cut off. However if the children are his, then he should have been married by now!⁷

     Thijs de Jong was born at The Netherlands.² He married Tillie den Hartog, daughter of Cornelius Den Hartog and Grietje de Vries.¹ Thijs de Jong died before 1914.¹

     Thijs de Jong possibly immigrated on the Kensington, from Antwerp, arriving in New York on 12 Mar 1896. He was a laborer, going to Paterson, NJ.³

     Frances DeKay was born in 1773. She married Jesse Crocker. Frances DeKay died in 1837.
