James Searle). BC-Families also has an unnamed daughter, who m. John Tudor, but although in the will John is listed as brother-in-law, it prob. means step-brother in this case.1,7,8

John Theobald1

M, d. before 28 November 1724
FatherJohn Theobald1
MotherSara Breser b. 14 Dec 1659
John Theobald died before 28 November 1724.2
John Theobald made a will on 11 June 1724. It was proved 28 Nov 1724. he was John Theobalds, of New York, merchant. Names his mother Effie; siblings Stephen and Anne; brother-in-law (step-brother?) John Tudor; brother Robert; sisters Sarah Row, Mary Waymen, and Martha Searle. Executors: mother Effie, brother Robert Theobalds, and brother-in-law James Searle. Witnesses: John Searle, Dirck Egbertsen, and Peter Van Dyck.2
While BC-Families has John Jr. as son of the second marriage, this has to be an error, as he would not be old enough to make a will in 1724. The sisters and Robert are also probably from the first marriage; alhough some could be from the second, if they married very young.3
