Jannetje Van Blarcom was baptized on 28 August 1743 at Hackensack, NJ, (DRC.)2 She married Jan Van Orden, son of Petrus Van Orden and Jannetje Van Buskirk.3

Family

Jan Van Orden b. 18 Sep 1741
Jannetje Van Blarcom and Jan had seven children, six bp. Paramus:
1. Johannis (bp. 29 Jan 1764; sp. Hannes and Trientje Van Zeyl; p.81; d.y.)
2. Aaltje (bp. 4 Jan 1767; sp. Hendrik and Marietje Oldes; p.6)
3. Algen (b. Sep 1768, bp. NY Luth; sp. David V. Orden and wife; she or her sister Aaltje prob. m. Albert H. Zabriskie, son of an unknown person )
4. Jan (bp. 24 Feb 1771; sp. Abram J. and Jantje Vanderbeek; p.63)
5. Jannitje (bp. 22 Aug 1773; sp. Willem Smith and Jannitje V. Blerkom; p.64)

7. Abel (bp. 9 Apr 1780; sp. David and Pollie Van Blercom; p.10).4,5
The baptismal date is for Jannetje, daughter of Herman Van Bleerkom and Aaltje Akkerman (Ancestry). Konight has the surname Van Blarcom crossed out; also crossed out the names of the parents: Harman Peters Van Blarcom and Aeltje Davids Ackerman. She has a cryptic note: "Mother's Name is Van Blarcom, correct?"
BC-Families has Jannetje as Van Blarcom; and if Konight accepts the bp. date, the surname has to be correct as well.1,4,6 Name variation: Jannitje Harmens.2 Married name: Van Orden.

Although Zabriskie has her as a daughter of Peter Jans Van Blarcom, Catherine could be a daughter of Johannes Jans Van Blarcom. He had an undated daughter Tryntje, who could have been b. c. 1696, and Catherine had a daughter Mettie.
BC-Families Van Blarcom File does have Tryntje (daughter of Johannes) as the wife Meindert (marr. 1714 in NYDC), but has a 2nd marriage for Tryntje in 1717 in Hackensack with Dirk Van Zeyl (Seyl)
Clearly this is not settled yet.5,6
