     Jacob Bonnema immigrated on 14 March 1901 to SS Majestic, Ellis Island, New York, NY, on the SS Majestic. He left Liverpool on 6 Mar 1901, and arrived in Ellis Island, New York on 14 March 1901. He was going to his brother Jan Bonnema, who was living in Passaic. His town of residence is listed as Harlingen. Jacob is a farmer. A Martje Bonnema is listed under him, also from Harlingen, but not going to Passaic. Acc. to Genlias there does ot seem to be a relationship between them.2,3 He and Sadie were naturalized before 1915.2 Jacob Bonnema was a millhand.2 The 1915 census lists Jacob Bonnema and Sadie at Midland Ave #129 at Garfield Borough, Bergen County, NJ, with their children an unknown person.2 Name variation: G. Bonnema.4

     Opke and Romke must have travelled to Holland, as they arrived on 17 January 1912 on the SS Olympic at Ellis Island from Southhampton, where they had left on 10 Jan 1912. Their last residence was Paterson, and they were going to Paterson, 127 Midland Ave in Garfield.4 Opke W. Bonnema and Romke Nieuwland were naturalized before 1915.1 Opke W. Bonnema was in 1915 a teamster in 1910, and a millhand.3,1 The 1915 census lists Opke W. Bonnema and Romke at Midland Ave #127 at Garfield Borough, Bergen County, NJ, with Garrett J. Brink and George Odolphi.1 Name variation: Oepke Bonnema ((at birth.)2) Name variation: Wietse (Will) Bonnema.4
