     Joris Stephenszen was from Brugge acc. to his marriage certificate.² He married Geesje Hermans, daughter of Harmen Hendricksen, on 5 May 1652 at New York City (DRC) (He was Joris Stephenszen Van Brugge, jm; she Geesje Harmens, jd from Witmont.)^2,3,4 Joris Stephenszen died circa 1710.⁴

     Joris and his wife do not have a daughter Maryke baptised in NYC; but Joris' son-in-law Wydt Timmer is sponsor for Maryken's daughter Geesje in 1690.¹

     Mildred Julia Stephenson was born on 2 August 1909 at Omaha, NE. She married Andrew Harve Shaver, son of Andrew H. Sheaffer and Esther Jane Kuck. Mildred Julia Stephenson died on 31 March 1989. She was buried in Willow Grove Cemetery in Lingletown.

     Mildred Julia Stephenson was adopted. Her birth name was Edna Jeffries on the adoption papers.

     Joeke Sterkenburg and Camerke Sterkenburg immigrated in 1892 on the Rotterdam, arriving on 26 Dec 1892 in New York, with two children: Pieter (3) and Hiltje (1). They came from Berlikum (Friesland), and were going to Paterson, NJ. He was a farmer.³ The 1910 census lists Joeke Sterkenburg at 89 Summer Street at Paterson City (Ward 4), Passaic County, NJ, with four children: Pieter (21), Hilda (19), both born in Holland, and Margaret (16) and Minnie (12), both born in NJ.¹ His parents were Jan Joekes Sterkenburg and Hiltje Johannes Schotanus.²

     Pieter Sterkenburg was born in 1891 at The Netherlands.^1,2 He died on 30 November 1917 at Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia, PA.¹ He was buried on 3 December 1917 in Northwood Cemetery in Philadelphia.¹

     Thomas Stitson was born circa 1580 at Modbury, Devonshire, England.¹ He married Argent Lukesmore on 3 March 1604/5 at Modbury.¹ Thomas Stitson died before 1643.¹

     His parents were John Stedson and Agnes. He lived c. 1554 -1 Nov 1614; she c. 1558-22 Sep 1622; both were b. Modbury.¹

     Abraham Stevens was born on 20 September 1767.¹ He married Brechje Vanderbilt, daughter of Johannes Vanderbilt and Maritje Bogert, on 22 April 1787 at Tappan, NY, (DRC.)¹ Abraham Stevens died on 10 June 1854 (Armstrong has Jan 1851; she looked at the graves herself.)^1,2 He was buried in DRC Cemetery in Wyckoff,

     Abraham F Stevens was born in 1820.¹ He married Anna Peterson (1823-1878.)¹ He died on 29 August 1886 at Rivervale (Washington Twp), NJ.²

     Abraham F Stevens had 3 daughters and a son, all bp. Tappan. Two children survived the grandmother Lena; one daughter survived Abraham.^1,2
