Peter and Nellie are born in NY, the rest in Holland.5 The 1920 census lists Charles Stienstra and Louise at 62 Schley Street (2nd Ward) at Garfield, Bergen County, NJ, with six children: Jessie (21), Burdie (20), Catherine (19), John (16), Peter (10), Nellie (10). The last two are born in NY, the rest in Holland.9 His parents were Jan Sjoukes Stienstra and Lutske Jolts Oostra. His father married (2) Jeltje Eeltjes Bakker.
