Aaron Eckerson Ackerman lived at 279 Union St. at New Barbadoes, Bergen County, NJ.1 Aaron enlisted on 13 Aug 1863 during the Civil War and saw 'heroic' service at Gettysburg. He was a sergeant in the 13th Regiment, Company H.1,3 He was a carpenter.1 He was a member of a fire company in Hackensack, and also a member of Post 53 of GAR.1 Name variation: Aaron E Ackerman.3
