Catharine Acker was baptized on 10 November 1736 at Tarrytown, NY, (Sleepy Hollow Church) (sponsors: Gerrit Van Weert and Catharina his wife; father Zybout Ecker, mother Aaltie.)^1,2,3 She married Peter Van Tassel, son of Jan Van Tassel and Catharine Buys, on 1 May 1765.¹ Catharine Acker died on 10 January 1793.⁴ She was buried in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Tarrytown.⁵

Phebe Acker was born in 1809.¹ She married Isaac Haring, son of Daniel Haring and Marretye DeBaun, on 23 May 1831 at Hackensack, NJ.³ Phebe Acker died on 2 June 1879.¹ She was buried in Old Hook Cemetery.¹

Caroline is listed as 10 yrs old, and Mariah as 17. Sarah Jane is not listed.⁴ The 1860 census lists Isaac Haring and Phebe at Orangetown, Rockland County, NY, with Sarah Jane Haring and Henry Haring, and her mother Mariah Acker. They were indexed as Hanig.² The 1870 census lists Isaac Haring and Phebe at Ward 11 at Jersey City, NJ, with Henry. They were indexed as Herran.⁵ Name variation: Phebe Ecker.
