     Matheus Hoppe was baptized on 13 March 1720 at New York City (DRC.)^1,3,4 He married Aaltje Kuyper, daughter of Cornelius Kuyper and Dirckje Smidt, on 9 November 1741 at New York City (DRC.)^2,5 Matheus Hoppe died before 1760.⁶

     Matheus Hoppe and Aaltje had two more children:

     Mattias Hopper was baptized on 6 April 1713 at Hackensack, NJ, (DRC) (sp. Mattis Hoppe and Lea Hoppe.)² He married Elisabeth Wright on 3 June 1744 at New York City (DRC.)^1,3,4 Mattias Hopper died between 17 October 1778 and 1 November 1779.⁵

     Mattias Hopper and Elisabeth had three more children, all bp Greenwich DRC, NYC:
1. Andries (twin. b. 17 May 1747, bp. 3 Jun 1747; not named in his father's will)
2. Johannes (twin. b. 17 May 1747, bp. 3 Jun 1747; listed as eldest son in his father's will)
3. William (bp. 12 Feb 1764; d. bef. 11 Apr 1786, as letters of administration are granted to his brother Matthew.^6,7 Mattias Hopper made a will on 17 October 1778. It was proved 1 Nov 1779. He was Matthew Hopper, of the Out Ward of New York, farmer, being sick and weak. Names wife Elizabeth Hopper; sons John (eldest), Matthew, and William. Executors: wife and sons John and Matthew, and friend Jacob Van Orden. Witnesses: Louis Andrew Gautier, Innkeeper, George Higday, and Elizabeth Higday.⁵

     Mattheus Hopper was baptized on 2 May 1742 at New York City (DRC) (sp. Jillis Maundeviel and wife Rachel Hoppe; father Willem Hoppe, mother Elizabet Van Norden.)^2,3,4 He married Anna Christina Calyer on 19 June 1763 at New York City (DRC) (Mathew Hopper and Anna Christina Calyer.)^5,6,7

     Mattheus Hopper had three children, all bp. NYDC:

2. Antje, bp. 13 Jul 1767 (NYGB 29:31; NYDC 2:791)

Willem Hoppe and wife Elisabeth van Norden; father Johannes Hoppe, mother Maria Van Norden.)^1,2,3 He married Aaltje Jacobs on 2 November 1751 at New York City (DRC.)^4,5 (license on 1 November 1751 (Matheus Hopper and Aaltje Jacobs.)⁵) Mattheus Hopper was buried on 4 August 1784.^6,7

He was Matthew Hopper, being weak in body. Names daughter Letty, wife of John Antonides; daughter Mary; grandchildren Samuel and Matthew Carter; Executors: Isaac Mead and Peter Hegeman of the City of New York. Witnesses: Gabriel Ellison of Flat Bush, schoolmaster, and Henry Van Beuren. LofAd granted to Mary Hopper, of Flatbush, spinster; John Anto- nides of the same place, shopkeeper, and Bobert Carter of New York City, cabinet maker; the first being a daughter and the two last sons-in-law of Matthew Hopper, late of Flatbush, yeoman, deceased, as the executors of the above will relinquished the execu- torship.⁶

Lambert Huybertszen Mol, Arie Corneliszen, Christina Harmens, and Engeltje Wouters; father Andries Hoppe, mother Geertie Hendricks.)^3,4,5 He married Anna Paulus, daughter of Paulus Jurcks and Christina Jans, on 2 May 1683 at New York City (DRC.)^2,6,7 (Banns on 13 April 1683. He was Matthys Adolphus Hoppen, jm from N. Yorck, living at Hackingsack; she Anna Paulus, jd from N. Albanien, living at N. Yorke; also at Bergen on 15 Apr.: Mathys Adolphus Hoppe, ym from New York, and Anna Poulusse, yd from N. Albany. Married at NY May 2.)^2,8,9

     In the Orphan masters records, there are five children, and Matthys and Adolf are listed as two children; but at baptism he is listed as Mattheus Abbertus, and no indication of twins. Mattheus is Matthys Adolphus Hoppen at marriage. Konight list twins.^10,11,2,5 Name variation: Mattheus Abbertus Hoppen.⁴ Name variation: Matthys Adolphus Hoppen.³

     Mattheus Hopper was baptized on 9 November 1729 at New York City (DRC.)¹ He married Mary Hugens on 27 February 1760.²

     Matthew Hopper was baptized on 21 April 1754 at New York City (Greenwich Village DRC.)¹ He married Elizabeth.¹

     Matthew Hopper had a son Matthew (7 weeks old at bp., bp. 28 Nov 1780; NY Luth; sp. William Hopper and Hanna Webers).

     Michael Hopper was baptized on 24 February 1771 at Bergen County, NJ, (Paramus DRC.)² He married Jannetje Campbell.¹
