     Garret A Hopper was baptized on 18 September 1774 at Bergen County, NJ, (Paramus DRC.)4,3 He married Maria Van Orden, daughter of Jacobus Van Orden and Maria Blauvelt, on 20 November 1795 at Tappan, NY, (DRC) (He was Gerrit Hopper of Saddle River; she Marya Van Orden of Clarkstown.)1,5,6,7 Garret A Hopper died on 11 November 1850.2 He was buried in Saddle River.2

     Garret A Hopper was born on 20 October 1799.1,2 He (1) married Hannah Van Winkle in 1818.2 Garret A Hopper (2) married Sophia Post.2 Garret A Hopper died on 11 December 1880 at Midland Township, NJ.1 He was buried in Valleau Cemetery in Ridgewood.3

They are in the same house, different family, as Andrew G. Hopper (40, b. NJ, farmer), his wife Kitty (39, b. NJ, keeps house) and niece Mary E. Demarest (14, b. NJ); and next door to Albert G. Hopper (48, b. NJ, farmer), his wife Rachel (40, b. NJ, keeps house), daughter Sophia (10, b. NJ), and Harry Van Houten (60, b. NJ, B, servant). All parents b. NJ as well.4
