Andries Hopper was born in 1625 at The Netherlands.2 He married Geertje Hendricks, daughter of Hendrik Rycken and Hendrickje Van Reemst.2,3 Andries Hopper died in 1659 at New Amsterdam.2

Andries was in New Netherland before 1651. He was Commissary of Wares officer for the Dutch West Indies Company. In 1655 he was transferred to the Dutch settlement north of the Delaware River, where he was Secretary and Attorney General of that colony.1,4
