     K(C)atherine Maxwell was born on 3 August 1818 at Borland, Port of Menteith, Perthshire, Scotland.¹ She married Duncan McKenzie, son of Malcolm McKenzie and Ann Forbes, on 1 February 1846 at Barony, Lanarkshire, Scotland. K(C)atherine Maxwell died on 30 May 1896 at Milngavie, New Kilpatrick, Dunbarton, Scotland.² She was buried on 2 June 1896 in New Kilpatrick Parish Cemetery in Bearsden.

     It is recorded that Katherine died at 4:45 PM, Cheapside, Milngavie, New Kilpatrick from erysipelas after 6 days of illness as certified by D. Clark, Laird, M.B.CM. The informant was Malcolm McKenzie, son.
     The births of all of Duncan and Katherine's children were registered in both Milngavie and Kirkintilloch. Duncan and Katherine raised their grandson John, by George Maxwell McKenzie and Mary Dunlop as their own child. Married name: McKenzie.

     The birthdate of William May and Anna May are about a month apart, both b. Ramapo Valley, parents both listed as Charles W May and Elizabeth. An eight-year old Anna is listed in the census with William C May, she is the daughter of John W. May, but her birthdate is listed as 31 Oct 1861 (unknown source) . Familysearch has a male child, b. 13 Jul 1862, parents also Charles W May and Elizabeth.^1,2

     Anthony May was born circa 14 November 1785.² He married Elisabet De Baun, daughter of Charles De Baun and Annaatje Kuyper, on 12 October 1805 at Kakiat, NY, (DRC) (Anthony May and Elizabeth Debaun.)^3,4,5 Anthony May died on 18 January 1844 aged 58.2.4.² He was buried in Ramapo DRC (Island Church) Cemetery in Mahwah.^2,6

     Catherine May was born in October 1847 at New York.^3,4,2 She was baptized on 23 July 1848 at Saddle River, NJ, (Zion Lutheran Church.)⁵ She married Daniel S Wanamaker, son of Lawrence Wanamaker and Hannah Pulis, on 21 April 1866 at Suffern, NY, (Airmont Lutheran Church.)^2,1,4 Catherine May died in 1921.²

Nov 1882, NJ.)³ The 1910 census lists Daniel S Wanamaker and Catherine at ED 27 at Ramsey, Bergen County, NJ.⁴ The 1915 census lists Catherine May at Ramsey Borough, Bergen County, NJ, with Seth (38, b. NJ; Catherine is 40, b. NY. They are next door to Michael Fisher.⁵ The 1870 census lists Charles W May and Catherine Eliza at Ho-Ho-Kus Township, NJ, with Martin Litchult (26, b. NJ, farm laborer). Charles is 65, b. NJ, farmer; Catherine is 58, b. NJ. They are on the same page as Michael Fisher and Martin Litcholt.⁶ The 1880 census lists Charles W May and Catherine Eliza at Ho-Ho-Kus Township, NJ, with their son Martin (36).
