He became Secretary to the colonies on the Delaware; Schepin of Flushing 1673 and chief military officer in Flushing 1674.1 Frans Jansen Bloodgood and Lysbeth Jans made a will on 29 December 1676. It was not recorded, but on 13 Jan 1676/77 Elizabeth Bloodgood was confirmed as the executrix of the estate of Francis Bloodgood of Flushing.
