     On 7 Jun 1656 Jacob mortgages some houses, because he owes money: the share of all his five children: Neeltje, Johannes, Lysbet, Aeltje, and Petronella, the children of Jacob and Hester Jansz; and on 25 Jan 1657 he acknowledges a debt to Gillis Verbrugge.12
     Jacob died intestate. Letters of administration were granted to Johanes Van Brugh, Paulus Leendertson Van der Griff, and Isaac Greveratt.8,9 Name variation: Jacob Wolfertszen.13

     Jacob Couwenhoven was baptized on 30 November 1664 at New York City (DRC) (sponsors: Jacob Van Couwenhoven and Jacomyntie de Lanoy; father Johannes Van Couwenhoven, mother Saertie Frans.)1 He married Annetje Remmer.2
     Konight also had Jacob as possible son of Gerret Wolphertsen Van Couvenhoven, married to Anna Remmers, and a child bp. in Flatbush on 16 Aug 1685. Sponsors were Johanes Couwenhoven and Marta Claasen. That Jacob would have been 40-45 yrs old, the sponsor could be his brother Jan; but it seems more likely that Jacob is 19, and the sponsor is his father Johannes.3,2,4
