     William's birthdate varies from Oct 1849 (1900 census) to May 1851 (1915 census); Hollina's is Apr 1854 in 1900, and Jan 1854 in 1915.6,7 William Grunstra immigrated in 1869.6
     He filed his declaration of intent on 24 Oct 1872 in Passaic County Court, and was naturalized in Passaic County on 12 Apr 1879.8 The 1900 census lists W Grunstra and Hollina at 89 Passaic Street at Passaic, Passaic County, NJ, with 9 children, the oldest born in New Jersey, the youngest two in New York. Peter is listed as the fourth child.6 The 1915 census lists William Grunstra and Hollina at 273 Autumn Street at Passaic, Passaic County, NJ, with four children: Seba (b. Mar 1888, NJ, listed as female), William (b. Apr 1893, NJ), Henrietta (b. Nov 1894, NJ), and Lenard (b. Aug 1899, NJ.)7 The 1930 census lists William Grunstra and Helena at 273 Autumn Street at Passaic, NJ.9 Name variation: William H Grimstra.8
