     Aert Teunisse Van Pelt was born at The Netherlands (2 in 1663; BC Families has his p.o.b as New Netherland.)^2,3,4 He married Neeltje Jans, daughter of Jan Otten Van Tuyl and Gertrude Jans, on 10 September 1686.^1,5 Aert Teunisse Van Pelt died after 1739.⁵

     Aert Teunisse Van Pelt was a magistrate in 1698 and a Lieutenant in the militia in 1705. Aert was listed in the 1698 Census. In 1702 he bought land in Millstone, NJ.⁵ Name variation: Aert Teunisse Lanen Van Pelt.²

     Anthony Van Pelt was born circa 1652 at The Netherlands (9 in 1663.)^2,3,4 He was baptized on 15 November 1652 at Tuil, Gelderland, (DRC) (father Teunis "the peddler at the dyke"; mother not listed.)⁵ He married Magdalena Joosten.⁴ He died on 2 February 1720/21.¹

     Catherine Van Pelt was born in 1700.¹ She married Derick Cornelis, son of Cornelis Claesz and Aeltje Teunise Bogaert, on 1 March 1722.^2,3 Catherine Van Pelt died on 17 January 1745.¹ She was buried in DRC Cemetery in South Schraalenburgh.^1,4

     Catherine Van Pelt married Nicholas Quackenbosch, son of Johannes Quackenbosch and Margrietje Bogert, in 1758.¹ Catherine Van Pelt died in 1775.¹

     Hendrick Van Pelt was born circa 1648 at The Netherlands (16 in 1663.)^2,3,4 He was baptized in 1648 at Tuil, Gelderland, (DRC) (father Teunis "the peddler at the dyke"; mother not listed; child not named, date as Nov/Dec 1648.)⁵ He (1) married Annitie Minders.^1,6 Hendrick Van Pelt (2) married Marye W Bennett, daughter of William Adrianse Bennett and Maritie Baddie.^7,6

     Jan Van Pelt was baptized on 25 December 1696.¹ He married Catharine Hegeman, daughter of Hendrick Hegeman and Arientje Bloodgood, on 8 February 1716 or 8 September 1716.¹

     Jan Teunise Van Pelt was born in 1645 at The Netherlands (18 in 1663.)^3,4,5 He was baptized on 14 December 1645 at Haaften, Gelderland, (DRC) (father Teunis Jansen Van Pelt; mother not listed.)^6,7 He married Maria Pieterse.¹ Jan Teunise Van Pelt died after 1720.¹

     John Van Pelt was born in 1828 at New Jersey.² He married Jane Newkirk Vreeland, daughter of Cornelius M Vreeland and Catherine Newkirk, on 26 December 1849 at Jersey City, Hudson County, NJ, (Bergen DRC.)^1,3

     The 1850 census lists John Van Pelt and Jane at Bergen, Hudson County, NJ.² John Van Pelt was an oysterman.² The 1870 census lists John Van Pelt and Jane at Lisbon, Kendall County, IL, Annie (20, b. NJ), Katie (15, b. NJ), Cornelius (10, b. IL), and Grace (9mo, b. IL) Van Pelt; and Morgan Pence (21, b. IL, B, laborer). John is 43, b. NJ, uts up lightning rods; Jane is 45, b. NJ.⁴ The 1880 census lists John Van Pelt and Jane at Chicago, Cook County, IL, with their daughter Grace (10, b. IL) and son Cornelius (20, b. IL, laborer). John is 50, b. NJ, a collecting agent; Jane is 53, b. NJ.⁵

     Magdalena Van Pelt was born circa 1657 at The Netherlands (7 in 1663.)^2,3 She married Joachim Gulick.¹

     Matthyes Janse Van Pelt was born on 12 April 1618 at Overpelt, Limburg, Belgium.³ He (1) married Maryken Gysberts on 1 November 1640 at Tuil, Gelderland, The Netherlands, (He was Matthys Pelt, soldier; she Marijke Gijsberts, jd from Buermalsen.)^4,3,5 Matthyes Janse Van Pelt (2) married Adriaentje Hendricks circa 1664.³

     Matthyes Janse Van Pelt was a soldier under Captain De Swart.⁶
     Thys Jansen with four children (17, 15, 13 and 11 years old) came to New Netherland from the country of Liege on the "Roseboom" (Rosetree) on 15 Mar 1663, on the same ship as his brother Theunis.
     Matthyes was a Walloon from Liege. He was a French speaking Belgian from a northern province. Acc. to Lake, his first wife bore his first four children and died at sea. Acc. to BC-Families she died at Texel and is buried there.^7,8,1,4 Matthyes Janse Van Pelt and Adriaentje had four or five children: Annetje, Jacob, Adriaen (not in BC-Families), Pieter, and Lysbeth.^9,8
     NOTE: BC-Families has Hendrick both as son of Teunis and Grietje Anthonis (Van Pelt File); and as son of Matthyes and Maryke Gysberts (Lane File). They are both married (1) to Annetje (Meinders vs Tilemans van der Meyer) and (2) to Maria W Bennet.
     Teunis is listed with four marriages; but it seems to me that Grietje Jans is the same as Grietje Anthonis (is her father Anthony Jans?).      Neeltjie Van Pelt married Pieter Cortelyou, son of Pieter Cortelyou and Divertje DeWitt.¹

     Teunis Jansen Lanen Van Pelt was baptized on 5 May 1622 at Overpelt, Limburg, Belgium.² He (1) married Peterken Andriesse circa 1645.^2,3 Teunis Jansen Lanen Van Pelt (2) married Grietje Anthonis on 28 February 1647 at Tuil, Gelderland, The Netherlands, (He was Antonis Jansen, wed (?? in transcription) of Peterken Andriessen; she Grietje Antonis, jd from Asch.)^2,3 Teunis Jansen Lanen Van Pelt (3) married Grietje Jans (maybe.)¹ Teunis Jansen Lanen Van Pelt (4) married Gertrude Jans at New Utrecht, NY.^1,4 (Banns on 6 August 1696 at DRC, New York City. He was Theunis Lanen, wid. of Griet Jans; she Geertruyd Jans, wid. of Jan Otto; the first at N. Uytrecht, and the second here, married at N. Uytrecht.)⁴

     Teunis Jansen Lanen Van Pelt and Grietje had one more child:
1. Jacomina (bp. 18 May 1651, Tuil; father Teunis "aan de Dyck").⁵
     Theunis Jansen with his wife and six children (18, 16, 14, 9, 7, and 2 years old) came to New Netherland from the country of Liege on the "Roseboom" (Rosetree) on 15 Mar 1663, on the same ship as his brother Thys.^1,6,7,8
     NOTE: Van Pelt Genealogy has Marritie, daughter of Teunis Jansen Van Pelt (b. 1696) and Grietje Jans married to Henry Day. The children match the Dey Family data, but that does not have parents for Maria. If Teunis came to New Netherlands with a wife and six children in 1663, he must have married at the last around 1655, which makes Grietje too old to have a daughter in 1696. Van Pelt Genealogy has the last three daughters as daughters of Teunis and his second (or fourth) wife; but the marriage date of Rebecca and Abraham de la Montagne is 1689, so Rebecca cannot be born after 1696. It is conceivable that the 1696 marriage would be for a grandson Teunis Jansse, son of Jan Teunisse.^9,10
     NOTE: BC-Families has Hendrick both as son of Teunis and Grietje Anthonis (Van Pelt File); and as son of Matthyes and Maryke Gysberts (Lane File). They are both married (1) to Annetje (Meinders vs Tilemans van der Meyer) and (2) to Maria W Bennet.
     Teunis is listed with four marriages; but it seems to me that Grietje Jans is the same as Grietje Anthonis (is her father Anthony Jans?). The mother is never listed at the baptisms.¹¹
     The Overpelt website has a marriage in 1647 with Grietje Anthonis, who died in New Utrecht (this marriage is in Tuil, Gelderland, but there are no children baptized there); and a marriage with Grietje Jans c 1662 (just before they went to New Amsterdam). As they have no children baptized in Overpelt, it seems likely that the website does not quite have the proper information. Maybe the two Grietjes are the same.^2,12
     Van Pelt supposedly is derived 'from Peel' or the morass.      Viola Amanda Van Pelt was born in March 1871 at Ohio.¹ She married John Lutkins, son of Stephen J Lutkins and Emma (?), circa 1889.¹

     The 1900 census lists John Lutkins and Viola Amanda at Toledo, Lucas County, OH.¹

     Wouter Van Pelt was born circa 1650 at The Netherlands (14 in 1663.)^2,3,4 He married Maryte Janse, daughter of Johannes Christoffse Schaers, on 22 March 1686.¹ His estate was probated on 29 September 1744.¹

     Johannes Christoffse Schaers and Wouter lived at Gowanus, NY, His wife's father Johannes lived in Gowanus.¹ Name variation: Wouter Teunisse Lanen Van Pelt.²

     Andries Claessen Van Petten was born in September 1684 at Schenectady, NY.¹ He married Mayken Ten Eyck, daughter of Jacob Ten Eyck and Geertruy Coeymans, on 26 December 1712.¹ Andries Claessen Van Petten died on 25 September 1748.¹

     Penelope Van Princis was born circa 1622/23 probably in England.¹ She married Richard Stout circa 1643 at Gravesend, Long Island, NY.¹ Penelope Van Princis died circa 1732/33 at Middletown, NJ.¹

     Aert Theuniszen Van Putten married Susanna Jans.^1,2 Aert Theuniszen Van Putten died in 1643 at Pavonia, NJ, in an Indian attack.¹

     Jan Aertsen Van Putten married Margriet Hendricks.² Jan Aertsen Van Putten died on 7 June 1663 in an Indian attack.^3,1

     NOTE: His wife was from Wie, near Swol, which would be in the Netherlands; he was supposedly from Wie near Zurich, Switzerland. As his name is also Van Putten, he probably is also from the Netherlands.^4,5,6 Name variation: Jan Arentsen.³

     Hendrickje Van Reemst married Hendrik Rycken on 12 October 1608.² (Banns on 19 June 1608 at DRC, Arnhem.)²

     Anna Van Rensselaer (1) married Kiliaen Van Rensselaer, son of Johannes Van Rensselaer and Elizabeth Van Twiller, on 18 July 1686 at Albany, NY, (DRC.)^3,4 Anna Van Rensselaer (2) married William Nicoll on 5 July 1688 at Albany, NY, (DRC.)^5,4

     David Van Rensselaer was baptized on 16 December 1749 at Claverack, NY, (DRC.)^3,4 He married Maria Schuyler, daughter of Harmanus Schuyler and Christina Ten Broeck, before 1800.¹

     Hendrick Van Rensselaer was born on 23 October 1667.² He married Catharina Van Brug, daughter of Johannes Pietersen Van Brugh and Trijntje Roelofs, on 8 March 1689 (He was Hendrick Renselaer, jm from Renselaerswyck; she Catharina Van Brug, jd from N. Yorck, both living here.)³ (Banns on 19 March 1689 at DRC, New York City.)^3,2,1,4

     Hendrick Van Rensselaer and Catharina had a number of other children bp. in DRC Albany between 1692 and 1717. Reynolds says they only had one daughter, Anna (b. 1719), but that is incorrect, Anna is a daughter of Killiaen and Maria Van Cortlandt.^5,6

     Hendrick Van Rensselaer was baptized on 20 April 1712 at Albany, NY, (DRC) (sponsors: Jacob Van Cortland and Maria Staets; father Henrie Van Renselaar, mother Catrina.)¹ He (1) married Elizabeth Van Brugh, daughter of Johannes Van Brugh and Margrietje Provoost, (He was Hendrik Van Rensselaer, son of Hendrik of Greenbush; she Elisabeth Van Brugh, daughter of Johannes of New York; date as 173? ??? ??)² Hendrick Van Rensselaer (2) married Alida Livingston in 1762.

     Hendrick Van Rensselaer and Elizabeth had five more children, acc. to the will (sons Killiaen, Jeremiah, and John; daughters Cathariena Wendell, widow of Hermannus Wendell; and Margrietie Nicoll, wife of Francis Nicoll);

Jones has first twp bp. Schenectady, rest bp. Claverack, but Pter not found online.^3,4,5,6 Hendrick Van Rensselaer made a will on 5 December 1783. It was registered 28 Jul 1794. He was Hendrick Van Rensselaer, of Claverack, NY. Names wife Alida Van Rensselaer; sons Killiaen and Peter; son Jeremiah; sons John and David; daughter Cathariena Wendell, widow of Hermannus Wendell; daughter Margrietie Nicoll, wife of Francis Nicoll.⁷

     Jeremias Van Rensselaer was baptized on 16 May 1632 at Amsterdam, The Netherlands, (DRC (New Church)) (sponsor: Leonora Van Wely.)³ He married Maria Van Cortlandt, daughter of Oloff Stevense Van Cortlandt and Ann Lockermans, on 27 April 1662 at New York City (DRC) (He was Jeremias Van Renselaer, jm, from Amsterdam; she Marritje Cortlant, jd, from Amsterdam.)^4,5,6,1

     Jeremias Van Rensselaer was "der Groot Director" patroon of the Manor of Rensselaerwyck.¹
