     Johannes Mynderse lived in 1700 at Schenectady, NY.1 He was a blacksmith, armorer to the fort and an Indian trader.1 He made a will on 4 May 1754. It was proved 17 May 1757, and probated 7 Sep 1757. He mentions four sons: Myndert (eldest), Johannes, Jacobus, and Rynier. Sons to be executors. Witnesses: Jacobus Peeck, Hendricus Veeder, and Moses Van Vrancken.1,2

     Johannes Myndertse was born in 1746.1 He married Neltje Heermans, daughter of Gerrit Heermans and Gertje Schermerhorn, on 1 March 1772.1 Johannes Myndertse died on 12 January 1778 at Saugerties, NY.1 He was buried on 14 January 1778 in Mynderse Hill Burial Ground in Saugerties Village.1
