     NOTE: Tjerck was listed as son of Claes Jansz DeWitt, but that seems unlikely, as their estimated birth years are about the same. Bergen Families (DeWitt File) does not have parents for Tjerck, nor does it have a Claes, son of Jan DeWitt. Other sources had a Tjerck Claessen as son of Jan DeWitt, but that also seems unlikely, as Tjerck Claessen would be a son of Claes!10,11
