CA, auto repairman) and Irene R (14, b. NJ); and 3 roomers.² The 1940 census lists Mary Kirchner at 275 Beech Street at Hackensack, NJ, with her daughter Irene R (24, b. NJ, typist at a bank). THey lived in the same place in 1935.⁵

NY, a clerk; Mary is 40, b. NY.¹ The 1855 census lists Isaac N Auten and Mary at New York City (ward 9), with, in the same house, but different household: Abraham R. Auten (22, b. NYC, clerk) and his wife Sarah (18, b. NYC), Abraham's aunt Eliza Lord (45, b. Richmond County, NY, widowed, lived in NYC 1 year), his nephew William Lord (22, b. NYC); and Dene Simonson (16, b. Germany, servant). Isaac was 53, born in Richmond County, NY, he had lived 30 yrs in NYC; Mary was 45, b. NYC.²

     Mary was born circa 1805 at Ireland.¹ She married ? O'Leary.¹ Mary died between 1870 and 1880 at Pittsburgh, PA.¹

     Mary J was born circa 1914.¹ She married Arlo C Tuers, son of Ralph Luddel Tuers and Sybell Bernice Davis.¹ Mary J died on 13 September 2001 at Oregon. She was buried in Fairview Cemetery in Gates.

     Mayken died after 1663.¹

     Described as a old and sickly Black woman, she petitioned for her freedom on 19 Apr 1663, having served as a slave since 1628. The petition was granted.¹
