     Belinda Herring died 19 Nov 1884 at Hackensack, NJ, leaving her niece Leah Ann, wife of James Vreeland of Bergen Fields, NJ, and her nephew Henry Ferdon Jr. of Cresskill, NJ.4 Married name: Belinda Herring.4,5
     Henry Ferdon, Jr. is the son of Belinda's sister Effie; Leah Ann Bogert Ackerman Vreeland is the daughter of Belinda's sister Grietje (Margaret) and Henry A. Bogert (who died in 1878)
     James and Leah Ann Freeland are listed in Palisades in 1885. He is over 60, she is 20-60. The 1920 census has Leah A Vreeland (90) as stepmother in the household of Levi Holmes (83) and Ellen L. Holmes (73) in Bergenfield. Ellen is the daughter of James Vreeland (1820-1896) and Ellen Maria Campbell (1821-1876).7,8,9
