Mr. Perleys wife, Elizabeth Mooers, her great grandson H LeB Smith thinks, was a daughter of Peter Mooers. According to Dr. Raymond there was only one Mooers in the Maugerville colony and his name was Peter. He was a member of the church there and did business 'down river' with Hazen, Symonds, and White - all Haverhill men. In the Newbury records, a Peter Mooers was born in 1729, had parents Peter and Mary and grandparents Edmund and Sarah Noyes, who was probably a son of Edmund Mooers, the immigrant ancestor of that name.¹

     Peter Mooers Sr. married Mary Pearson on 12 November 1723 at Rowley, Essex County, MA.¹

The Perley family Geneology (PANB) lists Peter Mooers children as the grandchildren of Edmund Mooers. The geneology states 'In the Newbury records a Peter Mooers was born in 1729, had parents Pater and Mary and grandparents Edmund and Sarah-Noyes. Peter was probably a son of Edmund Mooers the immigrant ancestor of the name.¹'

     Samuel Mooers was born on 23 February 1822 at New Brunswick, Canada.¹ He (1) married Jane Agnes Donaldson, daughter of James Donaldson and Mary Urquhart, on 20 July 1848 at Blackville, Northumberland County, New Brunswick, Canada.¹ Samuel Mooers (2) married Mary Ann Green, daughter of William Green and Mary Jane Wright, on 7 January 1864 at Blissfield, Northumberland County, Canada.¹ Samuel Mooers died in 1881.¹ He was buried in 1881 in Evergreen Cemetery in Houlton.¹

     Samuel Mooers was the father of Sarah Louisa Mooers, wife of John Green. There is some discrepancy regarding who her mother was because her death certificate lists her mother as Louise Donnelson. Yet the census of Blissfield, Canada, 1851 lists Sarah Louisa living with parents Samuel Mooers and Jane Agnes. According to Sylvia Everett, a descendant of the MOOERS family, Samuel Mooers first wife was Jane Agnes Donaldson of North Esk. This was recorded in the Chatham Gleaner 28 July 1848 'm. Manse Blackville, (North. Co) 20th Inst. by Rev John Turnbull, Samuel Moores. Blissfield Par/Miss Jane A. Donaldson, Northesk Par. No one appears to know what happened to Jane Agnes. Samuel Moores married Mary Ann GREEN of Blissfield 7 Jan 1864. Witnesses Charles Kierstad and John de Cantillon. The family of Samuel Mooers and Jane Agnes wee not found in any later census.
     The 1870 Census of Ludlow, Maine lists Samuel Mooers and wife 'Annie' with children Eliza, Eunice and Samuel Jr. The 1880 census lists him as a farmer, age 50. His wife Mary A. age 37; children Elisa 15; Eunis 13, Samuel 11; Charles 8, Effie 6; Louise 3 and George 1. The 1890 Census was destroyed and this family were not in the 1900 Census. On a recent trip to Maine, I searched the cemetaries and found a stone in Evergreen Cemetary of Samuel Mooers, 1881 and Mary Ann Green, d 1888.
     According to the Gideon Moores Geneology 'From Mirimichi to In Behind the Mountain, Isaac Moore's children were listed. Among them Samuel b 23 feb 1822, m to Mary Ann Green. Other information on Samuel Mooers children came from Brenda Hemingway, Ludlow Town Clerk. A son, James A. Mooers who died 16 Feb 1918 at age 62 years, 3 mos and 26 days lists his birth as New Brunswick, and about oct 19 1855, with the mother Agnes Donaldson and Father Samuel Mooers. Charles and Samuel death records list Samuel and Mary Ann or Annie.¹

     Samuel L Mooers was born on 4 July 1871 at Ludlow, Aroostook County, ME.¹ He died on 26 July 1926 at Ludlow, ME.¹

     Sarah Louisa Mooers was born on 14 May 1849 at Mirimichi, New Brunswick, Canada.¹ She married John Green, son of William Green and Mary Jane Wright, on 12 May 1866 at Blissfield, Northumberland County, New Brunswick, Canada.¹ Sarah Louisa Mooers died on 14 April 1922 at Houlton, Aroostook County, ME.¹ She was buried on 16 April 1922 in Evergreen Cemetery in Houlton.¹

     Thomas Langdon Mooers was born on 13 September 1794.¹ He married Jane Mitchell, daughter of Lewis Mitchell and Sarah Crabtree, on 22 September 1818 at Ludlow, Northumberland County, Canada.¹

     Barbara Moon was born on 14 September 1948 at Hackensack, NJ.¹ She died on 7 June 2007 at Mission Viejo, CA.¹

     Barbara Moon's obituary appeared on 16 June 2007 in the Orange County Register.¹

     Anna Moore was born at New Jersey.² She married Thomas Pruden.¹

     The 1860 census lists Thomas Pruden and Anna, with three children: Thomas (9, b. NY), Anna L (6, b. NY), and Emma F (2, b. NY). A Rachel Moore (16, b. NJ) is enumerated with them. This is most likely Anna's sister.² Married name: Pruden.²

     Anna Moore was born on 5 March 1696/97 at Southold, Long Island, NY.¹ She married Ichabod Cleveland, son of Moses Cleveland and Ruth Norton, on 18 February 1715/16 at Southold, NY.¹ Anna Moore died on 6 May 1785 at Southold, NY.¹

     Annie Moore was born on 5 September 1866 at New York.^3,2 She was baptized on 14 June 1868 at Howells, Orange County, NY, (Old School Baptist Church.)^4,2 She died in 1922.² She was buried in Howells.²

     Chester Kinne Moore was born on 2 July 1905 at Marriwald, NY.³ He married Emilie Catherine Holbert, daughter of Othniel Coe Holbert II and Laura Agnes Gay, on 24 October 1925 at Sugar Loaf, Orange County, NY.³ Chester Kinne Moore died on 13 December 1970. He was buried in Paramus.

     Elizabeth Moore was born on 17 June 1782.¹ She was baptized on 14 July 1782 at Schraalenburgh, NJ, (DRC.)¹

     Henrietta Moore was born in 1817.¹ She (1) married John Christie. Henrietta Moore (2) married Isaac R. Vandalinda on 16 November 1865.² She died in 1903.¹

     John Moore made a will on 22 July 1780. It mentioned his wife and children Louisa and John, and his nephews: Lewis of Virginia, son of his brother Lewis; and Lewis of New York, son of his brother William.¹

     Lawrence Lewis Moore was born on 24 January 1884 at Joliet, IL.¹ He married Ella M Dunham on 1 December 1909 at Winnetka, IL.¹ Lawrence Lewis Moore died on 31 December 1952 at Wahmatosa, WI.¹
