     In the 1855 census Benjamin B Aycrigg and David I Anderson are enumerated next door to each other in Lodi. Both households consist of 1 male and 2 females.6 The 1860 census lists Benjamin B Aycrigg and Catherine E at Acquackanonck Township, Passaic County, NJ, with four children, all b. NJ: Anna (5), John and Jane (3), and William (1). His mother Jane Aycrigg (60, b. NJ) and prob. brother Thomas (28, b. NJ) live in the same house. Rose (19) and Ellen Charlough (27), both b. Ireland, are servants with resp. Benjamin and Jane; Hannah Phalen (25, b. Ireland) is a servant with Jane.2 Benjamin B Aycrigg was a physician.2 The 1870 census listed Benjamin B Aycrigg in Jane Aycrigg's household at Acquackanonck Township, NJ.7
     At their daughter Jeanie's marriage in 1906 in Manhattan to William Valentine, her parents are given as Benjamin Bogert Aycrigg and Catherine Anderson. Jeanie is 48, William is 56, son of Isaac Henry Valentine and Euphenie Brown. At Jeannie's death (14 Jun 1913; bur. 17 Jun 1913) she is listed as Jeannie Gardener Aycrigg Valentine; and her parents as Benjamin Bogert Aycrigg and Catherine Elisabeth Anderson. Her husband D.W.A. Anderson is still alive.8,9
     He applied for a passport in 1882, possibly to go to Cuba (see image after the application). The notiation "Accompanied by two daughters" is crossed out.4
