     Wolfert Ecker was born circa 1668 at Flatbush, NY.¹ He was from Midwout when he married.³ He married at Fredricks Philips lant Maritie Sybouts, daughter of Sybout Herckx Crankheit and Marytje Abrahams.^3,4 (Banns on 21 December 1692 at DRC, New York City. He was Wolfert Ecker, jm from Midwout; she Mirritje Sibouts, jd from the Armen Bouwerye, both living at Fredricks Philips lant.)^1,3 Wolfert Ecker died in 1753.¹

     Considering they are both from Midwout, and Wolfert is sponsor for one of Jan's children, and Jan is sponsor for one of Wolfert's grandchildren , it is likely they are brothers.

     David Eckersen was born on 12 August 1783.¹ He was baptized on 28 September 1783 at Clarkstown, NY, (DRC) (sponsors: Mattheus Ricken and Annetje Ricken; father David Eckesen, mother Rachel Conkelen.)^1,2 He married Sarah Stagg.³

     Johannes Eckersen was born on 7 April 1781.¹ He was baptized on 6 May 1781 at Clarkstown, NY, (DRC) (sponsors: Johannes Blauvelt and Elisabeth Blauvelt; father David Eckesen, mother Rachel Eckesen.)^1,2 He died on 19 June 1830 at age 49.2.5.³ He was buried in Ponds Cemetery in Oakland, as John D.      Konight has a + in front of Johannes, seemingly indicating he had progeny; however no wife is named. Find-A-Grave has a Catherine Acker (1774-1856) but does not make a connection beteen her and Johannes, they have separate gravestones, but they seem to be the only Acker graves (and there is no Ecker, Ackerson, or Eckersen.)^5,6

Abraham and Matilda are both 46, he is a carpenter.⁵ The 1880 census lists Abraham C Eckerson and Matilda at Harrington Township, Bergen County, NJ, with six children, all b. NJ: Rachel A (28), John (22), Emma (20), Matilda (17), A Myres (14), and Fredrick (11.)³
