     He is said to have owned most of Little Ferry, there are streets that are named for his children.1 His parents were Johann Heinrich Kurzenknabe and Maria Catlarina Fasshaur.3

     Elizabeth Dukes Kuykendall was born on 2 October 1815 at Mamakating, Sullivan County, NY. She married Abijah B Loder, son of Abijah Loder and Hannah Cook, on 22 January 1835. Elizabeth Dukes Kuykendall died on 31 May 1866 at Sullivan, NY.2
