     Mary Conklin was born on 20 November 1808.1 She married John Vreeland, son of Benjamin Vreeland and Elizabeth Van Winkle.1 Mary Conklin died on 20 January 1883 at Hackensack, NJ.2 She was buried in Maple Grove Park Cemetery in Hackensack.1

Conkling of 3109 York St., Jersey City, NJ, John J Conkling at Newark Valley, Tioga County, NY, Robert Conklin and Charles Conklin, aged 17 yrs, residing at Hackensack, NJ, her nephews. Petition signed and verified by George W Conklin. Will proved, letters testamentary granted to George W Conklin executor. Inventory proved and filed on petition, rule to limit creditors granted, notices signed, copy sent to Rep. office. Notices to be put up by J. V. S. Mentions his wife Sophica; sons Liverance, Abraham, and Casparus; daughters Elizabeth Reyker and Anna Briggs; grandson John Stagg jr, son of dec'd daughter Rachel; granddaughter Sophia Sitchett, daughter of son Abraham, and her two natural daughters Syela Halsey and Polly Ackerman; daughter-in-law Margrett, wife of son Abraham. Executors: sons-in-law John Stagg of NY and Abraham Reyker.6,7
     On the baptism line on the FGS of Mathys Conklin is a pencilled note: See pg. 242 NYDC. However, there is nothing referencing the Conklin or Mabie families on the page in the NYDC baptisms or marriages, so it unclear what this refers to.8 Name variation: Matthys Deliverens Conklin.5
